Dr. Kominsky was my oncologist in 2013. He was outstanding. He ran tests to make sure the treatment plan that was being arranged was accurate. To him it was not. Because of Dr. Kominsky I did not have to have chemo. His plan has worked! I have been cancer free for 8 years! Thank you! When my surgeon said Dr. Kominsky was the best oncologist he had ever met I knew he was the Dr for me. Thank you Dr. Kaufman for referring me to this man of great knowledge and integrity. Sincerely, Ana Lyn Herrick

Dr. Kominski was my Oncologist at the beginning of my journey fighting stage 4 lung cancer in Novemberof 2015. I am trying to reach out to tell him thank you for the part he played in treating me. It makes no sense but I am in remission. 5 1/2 years, A new hip, chemo and 47 radiation treatments later, I win! In May I will have been stable for 2 years with NO treatments. I believe that the decisions this Dr made on my behalf made a difference in the outcome. Kominski, I hope you see this. I was compelled this morning to find you. Miracles happen. Have you met me?

I have a blood clotting disorder and needed a hematologist. I met with Dr. Kaminski for no more than five minutes just to establish care. He asked me zero medical questions, made fun of me, asked what I like to do in my free time, where I went to college etc. He took two personal calls and literally just walked out and left me there. His nurse practitioner has stepped in to care for me and good thing, too, because he just walked out on ALL of his patients in SLO and resigned without any warning.

I was very happy with him and to have him follow me every 4 months with blood test for 4 years. He never tried to push treatments I did not want. Thanks Dr Kominsky

I have had cancer twice and now have myelodysplastic syndrome caused by the radiation I received. Before being diagnosed with MDS Dr. Kominsky told me I was not high risk and he would just monitor me. He said I monitor people with worse blood counts than you. I was diagnosed by his boss when he was on vacation and now I am scheduled for a bone marrow transplant.
