Insightful and Extremely Helpful
Insightful and helpful. Dr. Morpurgo is the person you want if you are in chronic pain. He and his staff really care about their patients and I cannot praise all of them enough. Having chronic wrists pain due to torn scapholunate ligaments on both wrists, as well as coming down with a very rare condition (acute esophageal necrosis), I was in tremendous pain and was fortunate enough to have Dr. Morpurgo he

Visit for muscular/structural issues
I visited Dr. Morpurgo due to chronic neck and back pain. I was hoping that he could come up with an explanation for the underlying issues because I was disappointed by the way that physical therapists had addressed different aspects of my issue in isolation from the rest of the symptoms. However, visiting Dr. Morpurgo was even more disappointing as he did not do a thorough examination, just repeated what I told him, and basically said I will have to live with pain forever. The only outcome of the visit was that he recommended a brace for my shoulders and prescribed some muscle-relaxer/pain-killers.

I wouldn’t recommend this doctor to my worst enemy! First he was over an hour late (I was the first patient of the day). He paid no attention to anything I was saying. What was happening out on the roof was more important. Office staff was no better and ignored my concerns over the matter. Horrible “doctor”.

Dr M is upfront and realistic about pain management expectations and results. He requires full participation and compliance from patients. When I first met him I found him abrasive but within a few appointments realized he truly was working towards my well being.
