Dr. Andrew Mowery, DO

I had an initial appointment with Dr. Andrew Mowery on January 17, 2025. Dr. Mowery was terrific! He was sympathetic to my concerns and assured me that he would do whatever to rectify my problem. I left throughly convinced in Dr. Mowery’s expertise. Thumbs up, Doc (and assistant Samantha)!

Dr. Mowery did my colonoscopy two times and only what I have to say is that he is excellent!

My G.I. of 20 years passed away and I wasn’t informed but instead told that Andrew Mowery would perform my colonoscopy. My colonoscopy was ok and as usual polyps removed in late 2019. In early 2020 I contacted him saying I had a serious issue. He stated insurance wouldn’t cover an X-ray so month after month had me try multiple things saying it was IBS. I knew it wasn’t. I literally begged for help. By Jan 2021 saying I’d go elsewhere and he ordered a cscan that showed a massive abdominal tumor. 3 years later due to his negligence and nearly dying from stage 4 ccc he never as much as apologized. Steer clear!!

Went for possible blockage to upper abdomenal area with bloating pain in the area nausea and extreme constipation. I went to see Dr mowery I was seated in a chair during visit explaned problem he stated you need a colonoscopy never examined me at all not concerned problem was upper abdomenal area above reaches of colonoscopy not examination or palpatation. No checking for bloating pain lumps or simple bowel sounds. I sat in straight chair never touched or examined me just said someone would be in to schedual procedure which would be in about 7 weeks so I was to continue with problems I came in for not addressing them at all. After asking around confermed this was not appropriate care and cancelled all further contact just because your practice has it's own endoscopy lab does mean that everyone need a scope with no attention to other complaints or posibble ailmemts that are out of the region a colonoscopy exam covers. If you need a colonoscopy he is probibly well experienced. HARD NO !

Dr. Andrew Mowery and the staff at Frederick Endoscopy Center were absolutely amazing! They were very thorough, professional, knowledgable and extremely courteous. They were very informative letting you know exactly what every step would be. At the completion of the procedure they went over everything in great detail. They also called two days later just to check on how everything was. I would highly recommend them to anyone that needed a procedure done by them.

Dr. Mowery is very nice & has a great bedside manner. His best attribute would be that he takes the time to listen to you, your concerns, and answers them in lay-men's terms that you can understand. His office staff is very polite and helpful. I would definitely recommend Dr. Mowery.
