Risky Procedure Continued
Dr. Pick saw my mother today and wasn’t happy when she couldn’t remain still for a steroid injection in her hip. She told them that she was in severe pain and that’s why she was struggling to stay still. They completed the injection without giving her anything for the pain. She is now in extreme pain and I’m quite concerned that moving forward with an injection in a patient unable to remain still could have caused the situation she is now in. Very inappropriate to not treat the pain so that the procedure could be performed safely and effectively.

Excellent Surgeon! I have been having hip pain for a year. Dr. Pick diagnosed me with AVN and we planned for hip replacement. Dr. Pick explained all my options to me and was very caring. The surgery was scheduled right away and I had new hip within a week. The follow up care, including PT, was perfect Dr. Pick is a very caring physician in addition to being an excellent surgeon. I highly recommend NWIB and Dr. Pick

Andrew Pick told me all of my pain and inability to move my arm was in my head, supposedly just an ac sprain. Upon forcing it to move I cringed, he told me if it hurt that bad he would never want to perform surgery on me as I would not be able to tolerate the pain. I refused to leave until he would do an mri, results show a complete tear of rotator cuff and large tear in labrum. When I called to cancel appointment as I went to DMOS in des moines, (DMOS scheduled surgery right away) I told nurse Dr Pick owed me an apology. Still haven't gotten one
