Dr. Andrew Sammond, DO

I wouldn’t take my dog to see Dr Andrew Sammond, D.O. Nor to Mary Immaculate. I presented in ER and did not see a doctor for several hours. The billing clerk came in before the doctor. As I was explaining to Dr. Sammond my issue he left, as though someone raised the bat signal, while I was describing what brought me to the ER today. At no point did he touch or exam me. I asked one simple question, “what signs and symptoms should I look for that would necessitate me coming back to the er”. He refused to provide any further care or answer questions. He completely gaslight any questions to clarify care or better understand my situation. My dog gets better care at the vet’s office. Mary Immaculate should be ashamed. I honestly feel sorry to the nurses that have to endure this man on a daily basis. You the real MVP. But not all heroes wear capes. If you read this far you must know that the billing clerk and janitor were two of the nicest people I met. The billing clerk came in and the first thing he did was offer me and my husband blankets. He is the kindest man. They were the only two in the building they actually cared and you could tell the loved helping. This hospital should be ashamed I got better care from your lowest wage employees than the man responsible for the medical care of your patients. You don’t always have to heal patients. Sometimes you just have to comfort them. Someone needs to look how the ER is being run.
