Dr. Andrew Stevens, MD

Was treated at urgent care and doing a treatment regimen for 5-6 days for a bacterial ear infection. I went to the ER on a Friday night due to increasing frequency of bouts of sharp pain, loss of hearing in my ear and a concern that it was a fungal infection. I was seen by Dr. Stevens. Upon entering my room I felt he wasn't taking me seriously. He would frequently not let me finish my points and instead lecture me about looking in my ear and cleaning out the debris. When trying to bring the focus back he would tell me 'Let me finish.' and treated me as if I were a child. Told me I probably perforated my own ear drum and that's why the pain was worse and that it is borderline impossible to get a fungal infection in my ear. Advised me to continue my ear drops and antibiotics. Made me feel stupid for coming in.Went to an ENT 3 days later and was told I had a fungal infection exacerbated by ear drops and no perforated ear drum. Puts his ego before patients' concerns or observations.

I went to the ER recently and Dr. Stevens was attending. He has the best bedside manner I have ever experienced. He only works in Emergency medicine or I would be looking to have him as my Primary.
