Dr. Andrew Turner, MD

I have a chemistry background so I had many reservations about taking medication. Dr. Turner took his time answering the millions of questions I had. At every appointment, he showed great compassion and answered all of my questions in great detail and never made me feel rushed. One of my appointment happen to be on my birthday which he noticed and he wished me happy birthday and told me to do something nice for myself. Whenever I had a medical emergency, he made himself available right away. My condition improved ten folds under his care.

Would not recommend

He made me feel like I was a bad person and it was my fault I was the way I was even after knowing I come from a family with mental health issues. He made it seem like I was wasting his time. And towards the end of our first meeting session I was crying and he didn’t seem to care to basically just told me to feel it out and if I failed then something could be done. I understand he has a military background but he needs to learn to be more compassionate & sensitive especially if he’s seeing people in psychiatry which means they have mental health issues! What I also didn’t like was that he inferred I’m not his “sickest” patient so I didn’t need to be seen as much when I mentioned that my old psychiatrist met once a month with me because he said ,” I don’t even see my sickest patients once a month”. He also said it depended on his availability which I understand but it literally states he’s accepting new patients so why would he not be able to?
