Dr. Andrey Kucherina, MD

We live in Sunset Park, and our first 3 experiences at the CityMD have been negative, all due to the same doctor. The first two we can live with; we found him dismissive, brisk, rude, and impatient, and seemed only interested in making the appointment as short as possible. One of these appointments was for myself, and the other was for my 14 year old daughter.However, the one two days ago was more problematic as it makes us feel we can't go to CityMD for anything serious. My daughter had been sick for 6-7 days with a bad cold that seemed flu-like and included nausea and unstoppable coughing. My wife took her back to CityMD as this felt like a very long time - same doctor, just as dismissive. Two days later (today), we took her to Tribeca Pediatrics, who said she has pneumonia and should have been on antibiotics 3 days earlier at least.

Really excellent and kind doctor. I always feel well taken care of with him.

Doctor comes into a room wearing gloves. Wearing the same gloves he withdraws blood. When I told him, he sanatised his gloves.

I am a long term patient of Dr. Kucherina's. He always takes his time during my office visits to go through everything with me. He always make sure to call me with test results promptly (which not every doctor will do!) and explain next steps in my treatment process. Wait time in the office is very short and he is always punctual.

Dr. Kucherina is an excellent physician with great bedside manner. He answered all questions I had and provided me with useful information about my diagnosis.

This doctor is supposedly supposed to be on staff at a rehab facility, but is never really available when necessary, I.e. a medical emergency to resuscitate a patient. I am sure his negligence in not being available has caused more than one patient his life, as he has already done for my father.
