Awful Doctor
Run for the hills. 'Dr.' Chang will never ever communicate with you directly. God forbid you have ANY questions or concerns. Even when our baby had 104 fever and was in the ER he couldn't be bothered to come down and help us. Our baby desperately needed a surgery - he kept saying it was not an emergency. guess who ended up in the ER four times in one month. Our baby. Besides the pain our child went through and the stress he put my family through we ended up with thousands of dollars of medical bills from him. I sent several complaints to the hospital and staff. I had to BEG nurses to get him to talk to me after he performed our 6 month old babies surgery (he would NOT see us before her surgery) and when he finally did come in he was rude and dismissive and would not answer my questions. His behavior is appalling. I urge you to find someone else. I could go on and on about the terrible interactions I had but I have no more space to type. RUN.

TERRIBLE DOCTOR – Apr 19, 2024

Most incredible pediatric urologist in all of LA. I am a pediatrician, and I have worked with just about every pediatric urologist in LA. Dr. Chang is the ONLY urologist I refer to. He has the most incredible bedside manners, never suggests surgery unless necessary, and yet is probably the most gift urological surgeon in town! All our families love him and appreciate everything he brings to the visit. I trust him fully!

My daughter absolutely loves Dr. Chang! His confidence makes me feel safe and like he knows what he is doing. My daughter had surgery to correct hydronephrosis and surgery went great. He followed up great with her and made sure he referred us to programs to cover all her needs without us asking him to. He is great. Thank you Dr. Chang.

We had an excellent experience with Dr. Chang. He was honest, pragmatic, and confident in his ability to successfully repair a fistula on a previously hypospadias surgery. My son was very traumatized by his first surgery at 18 months at UCLA. We decided to go to CHLA and try again at 3yrs old. The result was nothing short of amazing. We had zero issues or complications. My son healed beautifully and was actually excited to go to his followup visit with Dr. Chang.

Dr. Chang performed a robotic surgery on our son who had hydronephrosis; Dr. Chang's communication style with us as parents as well as our son was exceptional. He followed our son after the surgery and again was exceptional in his follow up care.

This man cares more about his tittle than his patients. Diagnosed my son without asking any history about the issue. Did address the fact that my son had been in pain for over nine months. When I chanllenged him, he went on tell me that he was the doctor. Worst specialist I've ever met. Go to UCLA Prediatric Urology.
