A great listener
I began seeing Dr. Chapman about 4 years ago after trying to work with my PCP for my depression, anxiety, and ADHD. I was diagnosed in 1994 for dysthymia and ADHD and began medications at that no. No problems, no issues, no reactions. When he refused to provide my medication, I turned to her and provided my history and diagnosis. She LISTENED TO ME! She told me the ins and outs of different medications and WE decided to stay on the same medications as they still worked. She's very responsive, empathetic, and knowledgeable. 5 stars.

My favorite doctor!
I’ve seen Dr. Chapman for over 5 years now. She is amazing and makes me feel like I’m visiting with an old friend everytime I meet with her. She always remembers all the details of my life so I don’t feel like just another patient or number. Her office is amazing and calls my medicines in almost immediately. Krista is an wonderful asset to Dr Chapmans team. She is her care coordinator. She is so sweet yet professional, informative, knowledgable and reliable. I’ve had major insurance issues that they’ve taken care of with ease. Dr Chapman has an hardworking and reliable team to back her up! You can’t go wrong with Psychology & Counseling Associates. Also note she has great therapist - I see Kelsey Sundara and my kids see Carley Knight. Highly recommend them as well.

She almost killed me.
I trusted the doctors every word for 2 years. Did everything I was supposed to do. While complaining about a medication, asking to get off a medication. Over and over. Being told that it was my anxiety hypochondrism. After having to find a new provider, because this one, refused to see me in a timely manner, and we’re talking months… while I’m screaming that I’m manic and my skin is electric.. after new drs, evals, medication changes. I survived! I’m mad! I was told by 2 different new doctors. “I have been misdiagnosed and mistreated” and that “it sounded like I was in or close to serotonin syndrome and lucky I was alive” It’s not the mistakes made. It was how the dr dismissed me afterwards I can’t let go of.

Dr, Chapmen was very insensitive and insulting to me during a very dark period of my life. She was very dismissive, told me the side effects from my medication were not real, and actually went as far as to tell me that she didn’t really believe I suffered from depression or suicidal thoughts and that I was just young and hung up on a boy. I wholly accredit my experience with Angela as the basis of my fear of seeking out new doctors because she was so horrible to me. Please find new profession.

Leading up to my suicide attempt I tried to explain to Dr. Chapman that I did not think I was getting any better, but was feeling consistently worse. She still opted to up my dosage each time I came in because she believed it was not yet at a therapeutic dose, never stopping to weigh the possibility that the Zoloft was the culprit for my increasingly low mood. If you are seeking counsel or psychiatric help I would not suggest anyone at psychology and associates in Fayetteville AR.

Inappropriate billing practices, ie. upcoding, ,meaning finding ways to charge higher rates although she did not meet all the clinical requirements to necessitate such a change; sessions were not focused as she was often distracted by her phone; she regularly arrived late or cancelled appointments within an hour prior to session; she also spends the absolute minimum time she can with a patient to maximize billing.
