Dr. Anik Patel, MD

I’ve been seeing Dr Patel for many years. He is professional and has a very good bed side manner . I trust him. Thank you, for taking good care of me.

I have been seeing Dr. Anik Patel for a few years now.He is truly one of the finest doctors I have ever known and have had for my healthcare. I have a very difficult condition with a lot of ongoing health issues. Dr. Patel has been very thorough, patient, honest and kind. This is a Doctor who does not rush you through appointments, answers every question and speaks in the language that everyone can understand. I have never walked away from an appointment wondering what was just said to me. Dr. Patel explains everything thoroughly and gives you options for your treatment and care. And truly that is what we all want with our Doctors. We want to be able to share with them everything and know that we are being heard, listened to, respected and understood. I don’t think I could recommend Dr. Patel any higher than I already do, he is fantastic and I highly recommend him to every one!!

I have been regularly seeing Dr. Patel since I was diagnosed, by him, for ulcerative colitis since 2016. During the last 7 years, Dr. Patel's care and support has been unmatched compared to any doctor I have ever seen in the past. If anything Dr. Patel restored my faith in doctors as a whole considering negative experiences in the past that I have had with other doctors. His office has always fought my insurance company when they start getting stingy, and without the help of Dr. Patel and his team, I would be in terrible shape. I am so thankful to have him has a doctor and will continue to see him for all of my gastroenterology needs.

I had seen Dr Patel previously in 2018 due to a family history of colon cancer. He made me feel comfortable at the time. I was told to come back after a pregnancy. I went back to Dr Patel in Sept 2022, and I was shocked. He was very unpleasant and and showed a very obvious obesity bias. Instead of getting to know me as a patient he just said drink more water and eat more vegetables as he left the room. Before and during the colonoscopy I was not prepared that I would be awake. Since I was awake I saw how he treated the nurses, it was very poor. They found a large polyp and he refused to sit down after the procedure and speak to me. I lost my mom to colon cancer when she was young and I do not trust Dr Patel to support my medical and emotional needs around my specific colon health needs.

Dr Patel was very receptive to my concerns and worked with me to customize a prep that was more suitable for me. Very reassuring and insightful.

Normally I don't see Dr. Patel but he was available in the practice for my urgent test. I was not at all disappointed with his care.

Would recommend Dr. Anik Patel to everyone.

Very satisfied with my procedure. He was very thorough and explained everything throughly. And did my procedure in a very timely manner and he takes his time with his patients. I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs a excellent gastroenterology specialist.

Saw Doctor Anil Patel for i was having stomach and bathroom troubles, He has been been GREAT, and follows up and really cares about his patients. Has helped me and got to the bottom of my problems . very pleased

I recently had a colon screening performed by Dr. Anik Patel of Hunterdon Gastroenterology Associates and was thoroughly impressed with the way he clearly, concisely and accurately described what would take place, assuring that there would be no reason for anxiety on my part. The administrative staff kept things moving along and maintained the schedule as outlined, easing any concerns I may've had about running late. The nurses each took the time to explain what would happen next and what to expect, while going about their jobs in a confident manner that provided a calming effect for what could've been a stressful procedure. All in all, I found everyone at Hunterdon Gastroenterology Associates to be true professionals in every sense of the word, making it obvious that they loved what they do, so I would have no problem recommending them, confident that your experience with them would be at least as good as mine was!!

Very good visit. Not a long waiting room time. Dr. Patel was very professional and friendly, gentle personality. Explained everything completely and addressed all my concerns. Very patient.
