Poor Manners
Telehealth
I had a few health scares and felt dismissed by the doctor. Also, she would not acknowledge the mistakes of the front staff, making me feel like I was overreacting. It takes forever to respond to messages. Also, going in for my annual, I was just a number in and out in a few seconds, with no time to listen to what I had to say or was concerned about; I felt invisible, which was not a good feeling. Patient compassion is not her thing; she wants you in and out, and you are fine. I do not recommend this doctor. Need to find a new primary.

Uncaring and impatient
I’ve had many doctors at UCLA and Dr Batra has been by far the most unhelpful. Everything requires an appointment so don’t bother asking her any questions through the app. And if you are lucky enough to get an appointment within 10 days of your initial request - then great for you. Otherwise you just go to the emergency room or urgent care. I feel she keeps backing me into a corner where I have no choice but to go to urgent care since offers no help otherwise. Also expect to be rushed out of the exam room without possibly having everything addressed. I would recommend finding any other doctor at UCLA that Anita Batra.

Just see another doctor- unpleasant
Dr.Batra is the worst MD I’ve ever seen. I’ve been with UCLA for years and never have I had such terrible experiences. She does not listen to you. She is not patient. She will make you feel rushed during every appointment and is probably in the room with you just under 10 minutes. Be sure to know what concerns you are going to address with her in advance because seriously, this lady will cut you off mid sentence and hurry to get to the point so that she can be done with your care. There is no empathy or feeling of consideration from this doctor. At first I thought it was a one off situation as we all have had to rush or perhaps she was truly busy, but it’s been consistent throughout my time of seeing her. Even her exams are quick and hurried. I just don’t understand what her issue is if appointments are made far in advance. I don’t play about my health, I will be making a change asap.

She's not experienced for someone over 45
Staff is kind and friendly. Do not question, or get on Batra's bad side. She's probably ok for the ear ache, STD's but beyond that The whole patient is not considered.

Does not connect with the patient, doesn't listen
Not my usual doctor. I went to see Dr. Batra because my doctor was not in at that time. I was in quite a bit of pain. No exams, lab work was done. I could have done the same over a televisit... She was very cold and rushed. I didn't feel like she listened to my symptoms fully and when i repeated my self she said "you didn't tell me this before"... I got very generic over the counter prescription that did not help. I would not go back to see her

Cold and institutional
I’ve had a very poor experience with Dr. Batra. On my initial visit she briskly went over my health health history but told me if I had any immediate concerns that I needed to make another appointment to tend to that. I’ve never been told by a doctor to make another appointment to deal with a health concern. The appointment felt very institutional, like I was on a conveyer belt. I made my second appointment and needed to deal with some concerning health issues, which I told the receptionist at the time. I waited two weeks for the appointment. I had the last appointment of the day and due to traffic was 13 minutes late. It was the 405 and rush-hour. She literally refused to see me because I was over 10 minutes late. Even though she was in the office. I can’t she would turn away a patient with an urgent issue over a minor traffic delay.

Dr Batra is great! Very energetic, attentive, and kind I never felt rushed and felt like she asked a lot of good questions. She was timely and responds very quickly over the portal and can do tele-health visits which saved me a trip and the hassle of going to the office.

I have been seeing Dr. Batra for several years. Now my wife and stepson also see her. She is high-energy, a great listener, responsive, kind, and whip smart. When doctors at a non-UCLA hospital recommended surgery for my step son , shediagnosed the real source of his medical issues and was able to treat them with over the counter medications. She's great!

This is the first time that I have needed to frequent physicians so often. I made a few observation during my visits. Dr Batra is always rushing to get out of the room. She doesn’t listen to any issues. Tells you just continue what you are doing without listening to the whole story. She is in the room less than 5 minutes. Looks confused when asked what her recommendations are. It’s so offsetting since the UCLA specialist doctors that I am seeing are magnificent. After the initial visit I decided that I would return because maybe that day she was having an off day. But after a couple of visits with no change, I will not be returning. My expectations are: In the very least a physician that pretends to listen. A primary care that does their job and tries to figure out what is going on would be phenomenal.

I went to Dr. Anita Batra for a basic check up because I was not feeling well. I went back a week later because I was still not feeling well. After both these visits I was sent a bill and charged $600 for the first check up and $435 for the second. I never got better and had to go to anther Doctor who put me on antibiotics. I am now left with $1000 bill for spending a total of 30 min with a Doctor and also missed a lot of work. Unless you have amazing insurance stay away!
