Dr. Anita C Kumar, MD

I feel like Dr. Kumar is a good listener. She never rushes me, so I don't mind waiting. She has been my Dr. for years. I have followed her from other practices. She is very thorough.

I waited a long time for appt and was so hopeful as she had a lot of good reviews. Dont waste your time. There were many tests that could and should have been run on me. Not even a mention. A GI doctor in training would have known to give them to me based on my history Now I have to go to another GI person who will have a huge wait. I could go on and on. I have never written a negative review about a doctor until now.

Dr. Anita Kumar is an awesome doctor. She takes time with you when you have an appointment and always takes care of your needs. I followed her when she left Bon Secours. I would follow her anywhere.

Warm and friendly. Always takes time to listen closely and question.

I’ve seen Dr Kumar for approx 8 years. This last visit was the worst I had. I am so unhappy it sickens me. Your Dr is your life line. It was like I was a bother to her.

We visited her for yearly physical,first it was difficult to get her slot,on visiting we felt why did we visit her after waiting this long.She don't have time for anything,she listened to our problems and said she will come back with a sample ointment,but she never returned.Her nurse returned and said they have sent prescription to pharmacy,that too a new nurse different from the one who was taking the vitals.We had some difference in blood results and pharmacy results,we never received a call from her.Again some nurse called and asked to take some supplements. If you don't have time and patience don't take new patients.

Staff is rude. Dr does not respond to refill requests. Called in last week haven’t heard back yet. Searching for another Dr!!!

Dr. Kumar is smart, caring, knowledgeable, and a great listener who provides excellent advice and treatment. I recommend her without reservation! (If appointments are sometimes hard to schedule, it's because she is so popular.)

I drive 245 miles from North Carolina to see Dr. Kumar as she has been my primary physician for 5 years and always tells me upfront if there is something wrong. I feel much at ease when she examines me and her staff is the greatest. Dr. Kumar will always be my regular doctor know matter if I relocate somewhere else. Great work Dr. Kumar!

Dr. Kumar's attention to detail and willingness to listen and quickly respond led to early detection of my breast cancer. I believe she saved my life.

I've never had any problems scheduling appointments with Dr. Kumar. Her staff goes out of their way to communicate information, even after hours, in one instance. I've been her patient since 2011 and drive all the way from Yorktown because I couldn't be more pleased with the care I receive.

Very hard to get an appointment with, slow to send in prescription request, and wants you to come in to often for medication checks when you have been on a medication for a long period of time.
