Dr. Ninan performed a c-section for me, and she did a great job. Everyone kept telling me (including my dermatologist) that the incision was healing nicely, and the scar looks perfect. I am now a healthy mom with a healthy 2.5-month baby boy. My story is bumpy, but with a good end. We urgently went to the hospital because I wasn’t feeling my baby for several hours. Dr. Ninan was an on-call doctor that day. They tried to wake the baby up, but could not. The doctor’s intuition helped me prepare for the c-section: she permitted the epidural anesthesia to be applied earlier than. After puncturing the amniotic sac, the water broke gray green. Moreover, the baby heart rate started dropping with my contractions. It looked scary, but, as I said, we were fully prepared by that time! Thanks to Dr. Ninan’s skills, it all went smoothly. I was feeling I was in good hands with Dr. Ninan: she explained reasoning behind all the decisions, asked for my opinion and overall showed great communication.

I visited Dr. Ninan for postmenopausal bleeding, which is a slightly disconcerting symptom as it could be a sign of cancer. I was nervous based on the previous reviews I read, so much so that I almost requested a change in doctor. I am so happy I did not. I found Dr. Ninan incredibly informative and her recommendations aligning with the research I had done on my symptoms. She listened to my concerns and ideas and engaged in a very fluid conversation about my history and health. I found her pleasant, knowledgable and compassionate - carefully explaining my options and risks along with her recommendations. She also was very gentle and communicative during the uncomfortable biopsy, explaining what she was doing and what to expect every step of the way. I was delighted with my first experience with Ninan and will be visiting her again! A nice reminder that although reviews are helpful, to make my own judgements based on my experience, not those of others.
