I unfortunately have been seeing Dr. Khatoon for a while now due to having medicaid. Everyone said she was the best psychiatrist in the health center but I genuinely have no idea how. She does not listen and interrupts frequently. She continuously tried to get all of my symptoms to fit with depression symptoms (which does not make sense at all). At one point I felt very hopeless with my anxiety symptoms, and I told her “I didn’t feel like being here anymore” while sobbing. She reccomended going on a walk…. She is obsessed with sleep and will not stop talking about how if I went to bed early and woke up early that I would no longer be mentally ill. She also seems to only be informed on Depression and Anxiety, but not much else. It was extremely frustrating working with her and trying to explain my symptoms. There is so much more I can say about her, but all in all she seems to question patients and undermine their experiences. Please, if you can help it, do NOT see her.

I have worked with Dr. Khatoon for over two years and as a 50 yr old woman I found her very understanding, respectful, and to the point. We tried a few different meds and she was very supportive and worked with me to find what finally has made my life a whole new experience--one that I can handle and feel confident about my future. I recommend her for depression and menopausal symptoms, for sure.

I have been seeing Dr Khatoon for over two years. During that time, she has always been professional, concerned, and astute in her treatment of my depression. In fact, I have never had a doctor as attentive to my changing needs as Dr. Khatoon has been, and I have never felt better in my life. Because of her, I live with a new freedom and happiness.
