Dr. Ankila Chandran, DO

I assumed the bad reviews were people that were typical to police as there were so many good reviews. Unfortunately, for me, I found the negative reviews to be spot on. Dr. Chandra was condescending and it was overall just an unpleasant experience.

Absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND. She falsified my records according to words that she put in my mouth. She is a horrible listener. I came to her for panic disorder and insomnia and she made my anxiety worse. She refuses to remove what was her words not mine from my chart and when I bought it to her attention she suggested that I find a new provider. Does not like if you don’t just go with what she says. The most horrible doctor I’ve ever experienced. I felt like no more than a paycheck to her. Very unprofessional.

At first she was great and seemed caring and compassionate. However, after seeing her for scheduled follow up and requesting for a medication adjustment she was rude. When requesting medication that previous psychiatrists had prescribed and was successful on she came off as though I was drugs seeking. Very dismissive and was more concerned over weight than helping. Find someone else.

I have never felt so gaslighted by a provider. So manipulative and rude. She labeled me as an addict. I have never been so insulted:

She is the best Psychiatrist I have ever had! After fourteen years of being misdiagnosed with Schizoaffective disorder from a previous doctor, she diagnosed me with psychosis with traumatic brain Injury and now I am on the right medication and right dosage and have the right diagnosis! She saved my life!

Dr. Chandran is a caring and knowledgeable doctor. I always feel like my concerns are addressed and never feel rushed. I would highly recommend her.

Dr. Chandran was unprofessional during my appointment. I felt shamed and reprimanded for things that were out of my control. I will no longer be using her services.

When I first saw Dr. Chandran she was great. In the last few tears her level of care has gone downhill, she’s often late, cancels appointments and is unable to reschedule for weeks, when you finally get in her office you rarely get your full appointment because she rushes you like it’s your fault, she routinely messes up prescriptions( wrong dose, leaves some medication off), and is unavailable when the pharmacy/insurance company or myself needs to get in touch.
