Dr. Kool failed to implement the recommendation Mayo gave. Trusting Dr. Kool cost me 10 yrs of further liver scarring. The med Mayo recommended would have slowed it down. After 10 years my liver started feeling congested. I asked her for a referral back to Mayo. Her response: "No, it's too expensive, besides, even if they find something, it won't make any difference." I went to Mayo on my own, was put on Urso and my liver labs all returned to normal but I had already progressed to stage 4 PBC.
