Dr. Anna Carlson, MD

My 7 year old had a traumatic injury to his face when he was 5 that yielded a scar result we were not happy with. Being it’s his face, we decided to pursue scar revision. We met with many qualified doctors but decided to proceed for surgery with dr Carlson. She was extremely empathetic and patient with me as a neurotic and worried parent, and she made me feel validated and heard. I felt confident moving forward with her knowing she had a clear understanding of our goal, and I trusted her to do an excellent job and give him the best care possible. We had an incredible surgery experience, dr Carlson and all staff were phenomenal. And she did a beautiful job- I almost cried from relief when I saw the result. Im certain she works on much more complex cases than ours but I still appreciate the level of understanding and care she had. Will absolutely recommend her any chance I get.

Dr. Carlson was so knowledge about my condition and asked clarifying questions when medical records were unclear. She listened to my concerns and provided evidence based responses. She responded genuinely and directly when there was no clear answer.

We saw two new doctors this visit, can't say for sure I remember which one was Dr. Carlson. However, both were patient and kind, listened to my child and me, provided great care.

She seemed to listen closely to my concerns and had answers to my questions.

Dr. Carlson was courteous to us. However, I have felt uneasy with her level of experience in dealing with my daughter's injury and repair. I often felt she was not able to answer our questions which made me feel like she lacked the experience/knowledge needed to answer.

I am very pleased with this doctor, she knew her stuff.
