Dr. Anne Climaco, MD

Dr. Climaco is terrific. I love going to her. She’s very attentive and puts a high priority on immediately addressing any issues. She actually saved my life by quickly ordering a test that showed a potentially life threatening ailment to be treated before it could get worse. Thank you Dr Climaco!

Dr. Climaco is the most caring, kind physician I have ever had. She takes time to talk to you and follows up with other specialists who are treating me. She returns messages promptly and sends in prescription refills immediately. Her office always runs on time and the nurses are very caring. She gets my highest recommendation. Cheri B

I understand Climaco is nice but the whole time I saw her, she ran off to some other room half the time. I'm sitting there left wondering why, then she returns to hardly check me, it was frustrating to say the least. She kept telling me I needed a mammogram when I needed a screening for fibroids. I had already done the mammogram the week before. The mammogram had turned out negative for cancer or any abnormalities. I was in pain from a heavy period , that problem was ignored. I'm frustrated about not being heard, I don't understand why she spends so little time with patients. I had to see a doctor out of the UCLA system to get results. My back pain was horrendous from the fibroids , the lower abdominal pain felt heavy at the time , but she thought it was a pulled muscle , so frustrated.

The last " physical " I had with Climaco was not more than a checkup. Every physical I have had at other doctors over the years , and NOT at UCLA , took over an hour, they really looked all my health and TALKED to me about ALL my concerns. Everything happens too fast , not enough time taken, AND the blood tests then no follow up for a month. Then she scheduled with this rude rheumatologist that didn't let me finish a sentence. It is difficult to describe pain that fluctuates so much. I don't think I can keep going around in circles like this.

I chose Dr. Anne Climaco to be my primary care physician because I have never had a doctor be so thorough in her assessments of my health care issues. From the beginning, she made certain all the necessary tests were scheduled to make certain my health care needs were being met. She has even caused me to change my eating and physical fitness habits. I would highly recommend to anyone who wants a physician who is knowledgeable, caring, sensitive, kind and thorough.

I had to ask for an EKG and to have my lungs checked. Asking a doctor to check you is craziness. I gave the UCLA HEATH system way to many chances, everything there is rushed. I had to travel out of my way for tests , at a time I wasn't feeling well from fibro and anemia. I was exhausted days after. Climaco seemed distracted, not really paying attention to what I had to say. All the doctors spend more time typing than finding out what could really be happening to the patient.

If you are interested in developing stress related medical problems, then please do visit the UCLA Westlake Village Dr Anne Climaco's office. Dealing with the front desk and the billing department is a nightmare and can induce the worst of headaches. Expect to wait at least an hour at the front desk no matter if you have an appointment time or not. Expect multiple billing issues as well. And forget about trying to get any resolved because it takes at least 10 minutes of waiting on the phone line

I went for a physical. Chatted for 5 minutes and used a stethascope for a minute. Renewed Rxs and done. Not a phsical in my world. Too hurried. Dud not seem to care or even listen.

I would highly recommend Dr. Climaco to my family and friends. She was very personable, very thorough and I felt completely at ease with her. She took a lot of time with me and I didn't feel she was rushing through to get to the next patient. I am so happy to have found a great doctor I have complete confidence in. Also, amazing staff all around.
