Dr. Anne McNamara, DPM

Excellent physician. As an RN with years of experience, I would recommend Dr. McNamara to colleagues and patients.

Dr. McNamara has done an excellent job with both of my sons and their feet. We continue to use her as our foot doctor anytime there is an issue with their growing feet.

If there was an option to grade Dr. McNamara with a zero, I would certainly have done that. In my long existence on this Earth, I have never met a colder, more indifferent and totally incompetent doctor than Dr. McNamara. Simply horrendous bed manners. Her website states: "Providing Compassionate, Gentle, Podiatric Care." What Hutzpah? Sorry to confess, that became the reason I went to her, yet, how surprised I was to learn it was just a sales pitch. She saw me for about four minutes because she was rushing, giving the impression she was extremely busy even if no one was in her waiting room. I went to see her for two distinct problems. After hurrying through the first issue, I asked her about the second problem, but she said, "I don't know anything about that." Mind you, I included both problems in the form filled out and then I repeated them to her assistant before Dr. McNamara came into the room. Don't waste your time and money, anyone will be better than this sham 'doctor.'

Dr. McNamara has no bedside manner. I asked about a procedure that is available in HER office. She said she didn’t know and told me to make an appt with the other Doctor. Shouldn’t she know what is going on in her practice? Will not be going back.

I went in for a toenail reconstruction using Keryflex, but after meeting with Dr McNamara, she told me it would be better to take care of my ingrown toenails, and that I wasn’t a candidate for Keryflex. I’ve been struggling with ingrowns for years. She did both of my big toes, and I feel so much better now! She was able to educate me, and she was so easy to get along with. She was very kind on my last follow up where I had my son with me, she was even so kind to him. Definitely recommend to anyone to needs a capable and friendly doctor. Also, all the staff were fantastic, from the front desk to every nurse. What a wonderful practice!

Was there for a toenail fungus problem. Sold me a kit for $150. Said they were going to send my toenail off to figure out what kind of fungus it was and would give me toe soak once they found. Never got back to me. I've left message to no avail.

She has no personality...is clueless about foot ailments and treatments. She cant read an X-Ray or MRI. All she wants to do is unload you to a surgeon in the same building. Go to another doctor that knows about FEET.

While initially positive, my overall experience with Dr. McNamara was overall negative. After trying out her orthotics, the style of which I was neither consulted on nor did I request, for two weeks I told her the orthotics were not working well. Without requesting what the problem was she became rude, informing me she had nothing more to talk with me about and that I could pick up my refund at the front desk, thus ushering me out of her clinic. I've never before encountered such unprofessionalism.

Not good. I never went back.

I have been going to Dr. McNamara for 9 years. She is very good and conservative. Had problems with both ingrown nails and fungus infections. She has revolved the issues with the toenail surgery on both feet, as well as the laser treatment for the fungus. Very happy her and the office.

I had a terrible experience with Dr. McNamara. I went in with an inflamed big toe. Immediately she starts getting tools out and says she is going to remove the entire toenail. I said no. She got huffy and told me I could leave. She ended up doing a partial toenail removal and did not even schedule a follow up for me. She did culture the wound but never called me with results. I had to call her office twice to get them. I've been to another foot doctor and it turns out I have a joint issue in my big toe. I would NEVER go back to Dr. McNamara. I had a infected big toenail, inflamed cuticle and all. This doctor did a toe biopsy which came back positive with 10 different types of bacteria. She prescribed a foot soak that I was to do for 3 months then come back and see her. Needless to say, the soaks were doing nothing for my toe infection. I switched doctors and ended up taken 2 rounds of Cipro and eventually had to have my toenail surgically removed. I hope this and other information I'm posting gets out there so that people know the truth. There is nothing worse than moving into an area and having to deal with what I have to in trying to get good medical care.

The best in a delicate situation and very patient. Easy to talk with about your foot problem.

We went to see Dr McNamara for my son's ingrown toenail. Dr. McNamara was funny, friendly and detailed about our options for the procedure. She made us laugh and her bedside manner was a 10 *********. Their office is not only beautiful on the inside and outside but they have the latest technology, friendly and helpful staff. A very efficient office is key to a successful business. Thank you for making our visit so EASY!! His toe looks great and my son can finally run again in his sneakers!!! Thank you!

I love Dr. Melissa Winters at this practice. She was absolutely fabulous with me and my Mom. She visited Mom 3 times in the hospital and saved her life!

I've gone to Dr McNamara for faciitis and an ingrown toe nail. I found her to be pleasant and capable. Good results for both conditions.

I really like McNamara, she addresses all concerns, and genuinely cares about her patients. She knows her stuff and was very thorough with me when I needed help with an ingrown nail. Calming demeanor, understanding, and talked me through it so I wasn't so afraid of the procedure. I'm glad I went to her! I would recommend. I also want to note that when I called her office, I was expecting to wait a week to be seen, but they got me in that very same day! I was blown away about the availability!

Dr. McNamara's is an amazing doctor. She is highly competent, caring, funny and has a great bedside manner. Her Practice staff are friendly, organized and very efficient. She has just expanded into a new state of the art building in Fort Myers. I recommend her to all my friends and family. You will not be disappointed.
