Dr. Anthony Alleva, MD

Been going for 5 yrs. He's the best doctor I've ever had, and I'm in my 60's. Sees big picture and thinks in details. He's always shown care and concern for me as a patient. Also, I always found his staff to be nice and considerate.

Dr Alleva has been our primary care physician for probably 30 years. He is an outstanding physician who is knowledgeable and always includes the latest research when discussing treatment options. We have never had a problem with his staff.

He's been my PC for 15 years and has never practiced in a basement as the one star reviewer indicates. He is extremely caring, knowledgeable and professional. He listens carefully and explains clearly. He's the best doctor I've had.

I call your office yesterday to get the results of my blood work. I spoke with Benny who was very courteous and considerate. She went over each aspect of my results and I really appreciated it. She showed great humanity and I wanted to thank her for it. Beatrice Pomper

Definitely not the nicest or the most knowledgeable dr. and the people who work in his office are less than polite (rude). They couldn't care less how sick you are. His office is in the basement and is dark, dingy and depressing to be honest. I would not recommend him - I have found someone who is a very good dr. and is in a pleasant, nice looking office with a polite staff. But, most important, the doctor is not the least bit condescending and seems to know her stuff.

Staff members are rude when answering the phone. No respect at all.

I have been a patient for over 15 years. He is the best doctor in the practice. In his absence, I have seen other physicians and was not impressed. He listens attentively and is thoughtful about his diagnoses.

I found Dr. Alleva in the group when my previous doctor left. I really think he's a great doctor and have recommended many family and friends to his practice. On the other hand, the staff members that answer the phone are rude and need to be trained on how to properly handle patients and human beings for that matter. I was told Dr. Alleva is not booking physicals for at least 6 months out. Therefore, I have went to switched to another practice due to lack of scheduling and unprofessionalism.

I WAS very fond of Dr. Alleva. I think he is a very capable Doctor. Things have changed for the worse since he became affiliated with Stamford Health.I called to schedule a physical and was told he could not see me for 4 months. That is ridiculous! I changed to someone I could gain access to a lot sooner. I needed my records and he wants to charge me $13 for my records. Records are yours. I suggest getting them whenever you see him. He doesn't keep your records in the office!
