Zero if Possible
Took significant other to ER at CMH Ventura, heart rate spike among other symptoms while in recovery from a stroke in October. We waited 8 hours just to be told, 'everyone else is coming in with the flu, so it's probably just something weird like that,' which completely ignored her medical history and what he was being told (flu and covid tests were obviously negative). Super smug about everything and obviously not invested in doing his job. I've never seen a doctor dig himself a hole as deep as he did while trying to rationalize his way out of actually listening to a patient, so we just pulled the ripcord and left. If he is the ED doctor, find another hospital. You'll wait just to be told that 'something super weird' is his useless diagnoses. He may know his stuff (pure speculation on my part due to the experience), but he certainly lacks humility and doesn't know how to listen to his patients. Anna, the nurse, was wonderful and could teach him a thing or two.

My dad has had chronic issues related to a stroke he had two years ago. He was in a tremendous amount of pain and my mom and sister had to take him to the ER. They would not admit him because he didn't have all the criteria they were looking for although he was vomiting and in pain and a urine infection. I spoke with the doctor and asked for a social worker to review the case. I said "aren't certain legal rights if I think discharging him is unsafe. He said "No!". He is terrible!

Disgusting example of a human being, seems to just be there for the money. -No care or concern -Dr asked me what meds I wanted to get me out of the hospital (we were way past meds, as could be reviewed from my 4 day hospital stay and emergency surgery) -was not properly taken care of until the next dr arrived on duty, and immediately admitted me If Anthony Hernandez is on duty, you’re better off to stay at home in pain, than in his neglection and lack of care.

Went to the ER with acute vomiting, abdominal pain and hx of Addison's disease. Had high hopes I'd be taken care of but I was treated like a piece of trash, not taken care of and now am in adrenal crisis. Thanks for nothing, "Doctor". You should be ashamed at the way you treated me. Least bust ER doc I've ever seen...was literally just "hanging out" with staff while I lay in misery. Was told I'd be fine even though I insisted something was wrong and i couldn't hold down my Addison's medication.
