Dr. Anthony Hinz, MD

I would highly recommend Dr. Heinz. After several years of Cortisone shots, I could no longer put a shoe on my foot from the pain. He evidently has the procedure figured out because I’ve talked to quite a few that went to other Doctors and said they wish they hadn’t had it done. I couldn’t be happier with the results.

Our daughter had a very significant accident while we were on a weekend trip to Sunriver. The accident caused a severe break in her lower right leg, which landed her in the St. Charles hospital for a week. We were fortunate enough to have Dr. Hinz as her surgeon and we cannot thank him enough. The repair surgery turned out to be much longer and detailed than we expected. He showed extreme professionalism and compassionate care, as they had a few difficulties the next day following the surgery. Both Dr. Hinz and his PA spent a significant amount of time with her the next day to help get her stable. Great job Dr. Hinz and thank you for the initial care and follow up phone call several weeks after the surgery just to check in.

This is the 2nd time I have seen Dr Hinz. I am always impressed by the time he takes to help me understand the options to fix my foot problems. He was recommended to me by a friend that had his foot rebuilt by Dr Hinz. I highly recommend Dr Hinz.

Dr. hinz was great. He came recommended by a friend. They did recommend him as the best lower extremity doctor in Bend. Now after seeing him I agree. Dr. Hinz knew what he was talking about even without an MRI. Unfortunately this was a slow recovery without surgery but he felt this was best to avoid a 12 month recovery following a surgery. He was patient and communicated well. Dr. Hinz was also great to deal with being this was a workman’s comp claim.

Seeing Hinz again as he came recommended as the go-to guy for ankle work. Easy going, listens, responds to questions, no feeling of being rushed through the appt.

Saw Dr. Hinz for the first time Nov. 28, 2018 for exam relating to torn toe tendons in my left foot. He was thorough, precise, trust worthy, empathetic, candid, and more. He uses a patient centered model. Upon entering the exam room I asked him "have you seen the MRI?" "I want to see you first" he responded. I couldn't find one fault. His presence is Central Oregon is a gift. The only MD I would recommend for foot/ankle treatment. See him first!

Hands down a great Surgeon! He is a great listener and a skilled surgeon! I given him 5 stars for repairing an ankle that was damaged badly. He actually cares and communicates well to family and to the patient.
