The visit was rushed, and he didn’t seem concerned about my medical problem (severe akathisia.) He prescribed Gabapentin, but I checked side effects which included possible serious consequences for patients with CKD, which I have. I felt that he didn’t even check my chart to see that I have CKD. I was concerned and called his office. Dr. Holt said that, if I didn’t want to take the medicine, I didn’t have to. I was expecting help from him, possibly prescribing a different medicine. This didn’t happen.
