Lower Back Pain
Dr. Jabre, In a word, excellent went over my images disk by disk, and the spinal cord. Very thorough My spinal column is in a highly degenerative state with very little cushioning between disks. A previous lamanectomy provided little improvement. At my age, pushing 84, the AFIR recommended operation (non VA doctors)is fairly complex and doubtful that it would provide a significant increase in pain relief or mobility. What made a lot of sense to me is that if the pain is tolerable, with or without meds, then take that route verses a complex surgery that may provide little gain. With PT my condition appears to be slowly improving, and I have taken myself off the pain meds. I am feeling better, and my head is in a better place, knowing an other surgery is not imminent.
