I am a “ Patient Rounder Volunteer” in Unity Point Health - Finley Hospital Emergency Dept. (DBQ) and have been for over 2 years. My job is to greet the patients, families & friends. I visit with them, being a warm blanket, bring their family something to drink. I also clean rooms, restock cabinets and support staff in any way I’m qualified to do. My husband and I have both been patients there on a few occasions and we’ve never had a bad experience. I watch Dr. Markham lovingly, patiently care for patients, families, coworkers & volunteers in the most compassionate, caring and professional way, under the worst, most hectic & stressful situations. Dr. Markham, Dr. Wacke, PA’s Luke Casey, PA Luke, PA Angelique McCoy, the STELLAR RNs like Steve Day, Melissa, Stacy, Karen, 2 Lindsey’s, Sue, Liz, admin Sheila, Elizabeth & John, Holly, the scribe, CARE! I’ve received care and watched them care. 5 star team 24/7!! Phenomenal group of trained pros!!
