Avoid this ER doctor
I’ve have the displeasure of two encounters with Dr. Montefusco in the Los Gatos ER. The first was prior to my husband being diagnosed with a glioblastoma brain tumor. Dr. M brushed it off as a hangover and sent him on his merry way. Fast forward two years and my husband is back in the ER with blood clots (in addition to a brain tumor recurrence and ensuing cognitive issues). I was answering the doctors initial health questions on behalf of my husband as he is quite forgetful (brain tumor!) and Dr. M condescendingly asked my husband “Don’t you speak?” This man has no business working in an ER let alone with patients at all. He needs some serious empathy training. Will 100% never go back to that hospital.

After many visits to urgent care, emergency rooms and specialist doctors, Dr. Montefusco diagnosed and solved my problem with a simple exam! I wish that he could be my primary care physician - instead of just having the luck of a visit with him in the emergency room. I will be eternally grateful to him - forever!

No. Just no. Not a kind person and should not be working in an emergency room when people are in agony and he doesn’t care about them.

I wish I could give this sad excuse for a doctor a zero star. Literally didn’t care about me or my well being. Literally gave me medical advice in the ER that is harmful. He will be hearing from me and the board if his mistreatment causes further problems with my health.
