Dr. Anthony Monteiro, DO

Dr Monteiro delivered my son— later my grandson. He helped me navigate through a bleeding disorder,reviewing several options making sure to explain each thoroughly. During the birth of my son there were many challenges with my delivery and after. Despite going 2 days on probably no sleep, he was with me through my office visit and during suggested monitoring, then through a long labor, a last minute C Section and was there when I woke up, making his rounds that very morning WHILE ALSO going to his office to see patients... and he was bright eyed and ready to go! My husband always talks about how much he LOVED him when we tell our 'birth story' He was so impressed how Dr was on top of EVERYTHING. When my husband was concerned that the nurses weren't taking my needs seriously the Dr came in, took care of me and saw to it that my concerns weren't being dismissed. My husband HATES Drs. He ADORES Dr Monteiro — that speaks volumes for all who know how particular he is. He's the best Dr !

Clearly an experienced physician. Time as a practitioner speaks for itself. as a pharmacist, reaching out to discuss a care plan for a patient for which the guidelines recommend against the therapy that he suggested in lieu of safer alternatives. he is absolutely dreadful. my sole goal in contacting him was to discuss possible therapeutic options and possible consultation points I could give to the patient so they could use the medication safely If he decided to stick with his original selection. Here are all part of the same team and want one thing the best for the patient. to be told in not so many words to **** off was extremely unprofessional.

Dr. Monteiro is an amazing doctor. He has great bedside manners. He has been my doctor for 14 years and delivered my son 10 years ago. Always very polite, respectful plus takes his time to listen to what I have to say. I have recommended him to all my girl friends and all are his patients after 10+ years.

I spent 10 years at the same doctor getting diagnosed with a long list of what now turns out to be symptoms of endometriosis. In 5 minutes of one meeting with him, he suspected endometriosis, recommended diagnostic surgery, and got me in 2 weeks later. I am now confirmed with endometriosis and he was able to take out all he could see, giving me a new chance to conceive. I am so grateful for his expertise and attention to my health.

Dr. M has delivered 2 of my 3 kids, and my only regret is that I didn't know of him for my first pregnancy!! He is compassionate, caring, patient and very knowledgeable about what he is doing. He never makes me feel rushed, or like my questions are stupid, or awkward about anything. He is very professional while still maintaining a caring relationship with his patients. I recommend him all the time to everyone, and if I get pregnant a 4th I'm going straight to him!!

I went to Dr Monteiro for a second opinion regarding a hysterectomy. The first physician kept telling me I'd get my body back. I wear little or no makeup, and am more concerned with being alive for my 8 year old daughter than looking good in a bikini. Dr M gave me the medical reasons I needed the surgery and was patient, thorough, never once made me feel rushed, or that any of my relentless questions were stupid. He was competent and kind before, during and after.
