Dr. A. Covarrubias is and outstanding physician, very caring and takes the time to listen to his patients and explain everything thoroughly. He should give classes on how to treat patients, he very respectful and patience.

Dr Covarrubias is the best. Felt so comfortable and he was thorough in all the explanations needed for my upcoming stent surgery. Couldn't ask for a better DR.

He is an excellent doctor and caring person I highly recommend him I have been his patient for the past 2 years and recently he did my surgery for AV graft placement in my arm as I have to start dialysis in my near future I am a retired RN nurse and I am very particular who my doctors are and about giving recommendations He is an excellent physician

We were lucky to be referred to Dr. Covarrubias while at Hoag. He provided excellent care to my dad. We couldn’t be more pleased with his responsiveness, concern and down to earth explanations about the treatment and procedure. I highly recommend this vascular surgeon.

I needed to have a vein ablation so I asked my primary doctor if he could recommend somebody. He said to me if he had to get it done, he would do it with Dr. C. Scheduled my appointment with Dr. Ca and not be happier. Procedure lasted 10 minutes. He talked me the whole way through to make sure I was not feeling any pain. If you need a doc for a vein ablation, look no further.

I have lived in California for the last 40 years, and I know the medical system very well.All I can say is, if you are in need to have your vascular system checked, specially your legs, then Doctor Covarrubias is the health professional to go to. His knowledge, experience, attention to detail, patient, respect for his patients, compassionate and absolutely awesome bed manners, make Dr Covarrubias the best Doctor in California.

Sadly, part of a Dr's. reputation is influenced by the office staff. Dr. Covarrubias and the PA's are excellent, personable and effective. The procedure went very well. The staff messes up everything from appointments to coding and billing. They don't answer the phone and don't return calls. There seems to be more than enough support staff, they just don't get the job done. Too frustrating to deal with.

**DISCLAIMER: I HAVE NEVER SEEN THE DOCTOR SO THIS RATING IS FOR HIS FRONT OFFICE STAFF** I was referred to this physician by my PCP and have been trying to schedule an appointment for 2 weeks. Each time I call, I am placed on hold immediately and for an eternity. So I resorted to an online inquiry, with my information to have someone call me back. Explaining to them that I have been trying telephonically to no avail. It was been well over a week and no call back. Here are the times I have called and been placed and left on hold, until my hold time ultimately expires and I get disconnected or I get tired and disconnect. The times are as follows: Today July 29th 12:42 July 21st 14:39 July 20th 16:43 July 18th 16:53 July 18th 16:48 July 18th 16:41 July 18th was the first time calling, and getting disconnected, I thought there was a problem so I kept calling back. No problem, just poor front office service. SO HAVING NEVER SEEN THE DOCTOR, MY REVIEW IS FOR HIS FRONT OFFICE

I had been suffering extreme pain in both my legs due to vascular disease for almost 10 years And the specialist I was seeing could not do anything except recommending to stay away from tobacco. My pain was so svear I could not walk more than a few feet before I had to stop to catch my breath.Finally I changed my insurance and I was send to Dr Antonio Covarrubias, after seeing all the information in my file he told me with confident that he can do the surgery and I can run in a marathon the next week!!!!!! My God he was very close, since he did the surgery I have really got my life and legs back. I have no pain in my legs what soever. I wish I had met him a few years earlier. I enjoy life again. By the way I am 71 years old. Thank you Dr Covarrubias.

We first met Dr. Antonio Covarrubias during my husband’s hospital stay. Dr. Covarrubias came into his room and proceeded to explain that my husband was going to need a procedure. He explained, with soft spoken confidence what that procedure was and drew us a picture. My husband’s procedure went swimmingly well, and his recovery time was outstanding. Dr. Covarrubias and his team were incredibly supportive during the time before and after his procedure. After 3 ½ years of my leg pain growing worse; I could only walk about a half of a small block at a time without resting. No matter how much I exercised and walked my legs got worse. Since meeting Dr. Covarrubias via my husband’s experience, just this month, I had a procedure on my legs to open the blood flow. I am again able to walk two miles & even jog a bit and I am planning hiking trips again. My husband and I highly recommend Dr. Covarrubias he is a caring, progressive, knowledgeable human being & doctor.

I was very nervous going in for an angioplasty procedure to remove some blockages in the arteries in my leg. I didn't know what to expect and what the risks or possible complications were. From the time I met Dr. Covarrubias, to the appointment itself and procedure, I was made to feel very comfortable and reassured. Dr. Covarrubias is very knowledgeable and friendly, and his whole staff including Bang, Zach, and the rest are competent, friendly and went above and beyond to help me feel relaxed and that everything would go smoothly. It did, and I had no pain immediately afterwards, and the recovery since has been good and I have had positive reports from my follow-up visits with my diabetic wound care doctor, as it seems the increased circulation is likely leading to improvement with healing my foot. I will be likely having subsequent procedures for the other leg, and I will definitely use Dr. Covarrubias' services again. I strongly recommend him and his team.
