Dr. Anuj Gupta, MD

I’ve been in continued pain since the hip replacement surgery 19 months ago. Dr. Gupta is a nice man, but his post surgery assistance was a zero. Each visit, he would look at the x-ray and tell me it looks great - when I would insist that I’m still in pain, he would just look at me and smile. He did offer the possible erroneous diagnoses of fibromyalgia or spinal issues. The problem I was just diagnosed with, via an injection, finally seems to pinpoint the exact cause of my continued pain, which cause was discounted by Dr. Gupta well over one year ago. Unfortunately, it is nerve damage that could have been avoided during the surgery. For these reasons, I cannot recommend Dr. Gupta. For my other hip, I will seek out a surgeon who is more knowledgeable of advanced modern practices and more cognizant of possible complications.

I recently had a Total Knee Replacement with Dr. Gupta and Total Joint Specialists. I can not recommend him and the practice any stronger. He is clear and helps you understand all aspects of the procedure and your rehabilitation his team is friendly and very responsive. The app they use for communicating and PT is fantastic and simple.

Dr Gupta is both very professional and caring. He is the only surgeon I would recommend for knee replacement surgery.

My experience was exceptional from the first visit. I had my hip (January) and knee (March) replaced in 2024. Dr. Gupta was a pleasure to be with and performed two surgeries with incredible precision. He delivered my surgeries with kindness and expertise. Not much else to hope for. I would recommend Dr. Gupta and his group, Total Joint Specialist, to anyone who is in need.

Dr. Gupta spent time thoroughly explaining the condition of my knee and what the best course of treatment would be. Every staff member was extremely helpful as well. I felt Dr. Gupta really cared about me as a patient and wanted to follow a plan that would give me the best outcome.

Dr. Gupta is the picture you find under ethical and professional in the dictionary. He listens, explains, answers, observes, and shares his knowledge and observations. I have never before interacted with a more measured and thoughtful doc. I only wish he were a primary care physician, so that I could ALWAYS see him. I can only wish there were more doctors with his level of uncomplicated detail and meticulousness. The entire office staff are welcoming and helpful. Radiology is friendly. There are not enough positive adjectives to share my experiences over the years.

Dr. Gupta has treated me for an unusual condition. He, his staff, and auxiliary departments were the best I've ever had. I've had 7 major surgery throughout my life and I'm also retired from the medical field. I've never worked with any doctor as sweet and as kind as Dr. Gupta. He is also very skilled and knowledgeable. The very best!!

Dr. Gupta is always a great listener. He patiently answers all questions. Most important, Dr. Gupta is a great surgeon. Five years after both knees were replaced, I’m still doing well and pain free!

Had knee replacement 8 months ago and still can’t use it very well I think anesthesia was too strong and thigh muscle would not wake up. A bad dream Would not recommend for knee replacement

I had my right hip totally replaced in October 2021. Dr Gupta, his office and staff are exceptional in all aspects. My hip was "end stage". My new hip feels wonderful. It feels like a part of my body and I do not have any pain or discomfort, If I could give Dr. Gupta and Peachtree Ortho staff 10 stars, I would.

Met with Dr. Gupta on 6/3/21. He had been recommended by physician colleagues. He was very pleasant and professional. He was not rushed, nor did I feel any pressure to do the surgery. He diagnosed my issue, recommended a total knee replacement, told me about the surgery and what I could expect as an outcome. He told me I could expect a significant improvement from my current worn out knee. I had the surgery on 7/20/21. Had an excellent experience at the Peachtree Orthopedics surgery center, and went home that day. My recovery went very well. I am now 5 months out and fully recovered. I can recommend Dr. Gupta without any reservation.

I was very pleased with my first visit with Dr. Gupta at Peachtree Orthopedics, I was in/out within 30 minutes and this included x-rays but at no time felt rushed. Dr. Gupta was very nice, attentive and knowledgeable of diagnosis and treatment. I would highly recommend Dr. Gupta from my initial visit!
