DO NOT GO TO HIM the worst.. so incredibly rude with a bad attitude 24:7, it is clear he doesn’t care about his relationship with his patients

I got the distinct impression from the get-go that he was all about the money he could make from giving epidural injections. During a total of 4 visits, he never offered any other therapy options for my back problem, just the epidural. That seemed not only odd, but suspicious as well. When I refused the epidural because of a severely bad reaction I had had to one in 2005, he became angry and gave me the boot, telling his receptionist not to reschedule me. It's the money!

I would never recommend Dr. Gupta to any of my family or friends. His professionalism is horrible! Today's appointment he was an hour behind and I had 5 people ahead of me. He was very dismissive when I approached him, turned his back on me and told his staff to refer me to his office manager. While he is always late, today was significantly worse.

Unfortunately after getting a shot for pain in my back, which I had hoped to help, I had no relief. Also I believe that the 'local' shot before the main injection, needs more than 5 seconds to kick in before starting the procedure. It felt like a bolt of lightning going down my leg. And next thing I know, Dr. Guptas gone and no apologies, or explication for the Extreme pain I had just suffered.

Dr. Gupta is a tool! Just a big pharma tool. He is motivated only by greed. Wants to sell as many $600 needles as possible (Surgery Center, Surgery Center, Surgery Center is his mantra! Refers you to family members w/ mediocre skill. Check propublica.org 60 BIG PHARMA PAYMENTS TOTAL $4,922. Turn down a procedure and he will try to brand you as an addict. Stay away, you will only be harmed physically, emotionally and financially! I can only hope the CA Medical Board does a thorough job!

On my 1st visit he put me on a very high dose of Suboxone for pain for sciatica and stenosis of the lumbar area which didn't work. Never warned me of the contadainctions or side effects and refused to take me off when I requsted just increased dose to 16/mg. On my last appointment 12/4 he refused to see me because I had a $405 bal. From him cutting off the Suboxone cold turkey I went through such severe withdrawalsI had a nervousness breakdown, was hospitalized & couldn't work for 3 months.

Dr. Anuj Gupta has been my pain interventionist for over 6 years. There is a bit of wait time because he is concerned more with patient safety & efficacy of his treatments over how many patients he can see and treat in a day. He is extremely precise & effective with all of the procedures he performs to alleviate my pain/suffering. I would pitch a tent in his office & wait before I would go to another pain management specialist. His staff members are compassionate

2 1/2 hours in the waiting room, forgot to fax the medical records requests to my former doctors, and then after claiming to like the plan my former pain specialist had me on, refused to refill my medication based on my age and made me go cold turkey with no assistance or preparation
