Odd experience
Testicular test came back without issues. After reviewing tests when in private room with doctor he aggressively inspected me for a hernia and said I had one on both sides above growing. After diagnosing me with hernias he said immediately, oddly, in a rude tone, 'Are you going to do anything about it?' I was somewhat taken back by his mannerism. I asked what do I do now. His response was that he had no information to recommend except go back to my primary care physician because hernias are not their field. So why is he diagnosing them??? I'm writing this review two days later as I am a bit sore in my gut (like being hit by something) where there had never been pain prior to his aggressive hernia check procedure. You should not be in pain days after a simple hernia check. I will of course be getting a second opinion as I am a tall, thin male and the small fatty area he called hernias on both sides of my upper growing(like on Roman statues) have been there for years without issues.

My hero
I was a patient of Mercy Medical of Baltimore for 12 years. I was on testosterone injections, FloMax for prostate enlargement and severe kidney stones and a few other issues I don’t wish to mention. I stopped going there because they really never seemed to resolve any of my problems, just quick fixes. My first visit with Dr. Shah we were able to accomplish more and actually schedule to resolve whichever we both agreed was the most important and concerning. My second appointment he put me through a barrage of test and questions that honestly I was never asked at Mercy. I just recently had and recovered from a UroLift procedure that Dr. Shah performed. Dr.Shah explained this procedure in every possible detail, in layman terms and made certain I was completely aware of what it involved. Dr. Shah’s office called throughout my recovery to make sure I was comfortable and healing properly. Dr. Shah has accomplished more in the last 6 months than Mercy did in 12 years.

Super gentle, measured, and analytical, with great personal touch - I started going 4 years with active surveillance treatment, even though this office was out of my way costing a toll each way - I stuck with Mr. Shah as well worth the cost, time and drive. Outstanding

Had several bad experiences with Dr. Shah. The big one: after an unsuccessful Lithotripsy which took FOREVER to schedule, he wanted to remove the kidney stones by cutting the kidney open thru the back, saying they had poor success rates with other less invasive procedures such as Ureteroscopy. Asked him to let me know how soon they could do the procedure and he never got back to me. We used a different local Urology firm to do a minimally invasive Ureteroscopy which was successful.
