Plays games with her patients health!
She was my pcp in Lancaster and abruptly left to go to Zanesville. We were told we would be accommodated at the facility. The next day came a letter that they were no longer taking patients and we needed to find new pcps.Since her move over an hour away, I've tried scheduling appointments that somehow get messed up.The first appointment was in office, but I was apparently given the wrong date. The second was a telehealth visit, which didn't happen because of some portal that I wasn't aware existed.I have had an appointment scheduled for April for months now.Instead of refilling the maintenance medications I have taken long before she was my pcp for 90 days, she would fill for 30 days.I let the them know and it was agreed that I would call monthly to refill one medication until my appointment.Called the refill yesterday and it wasn't sent to the pharmacy.Called today and was told she will not refill until I have an appointment. The appointment I have was the first available.

She is friendly and caring.
She is informed about current things to do with health care, very proactive, but accepts that I don’t always agree. She does not hesitate to answer questions even if it is “ I don’t know “. I prefer a doctor who will try to get real answers instead trying to be arrogant.

Friendly attentive physician
I have been her patient now for a year. She has been thorough and makes helpful recommendations. My appointments have been timely met and I appreciate her friendly manner. She is replacing my long time family physician so it has taken a little time to get to know one another. I am feeling more comfortable with each visit.

There is a gross lack of communication between Dr. Kaur and her staff. I have had televisits that Dr. Kaur scheduled with me herself but somehow on the day of appointment, it isn’t on her schedule. She writes prescriptions, but they are not sent to the pharmacy by end of business. Either her staff isn’t giving her full reports that are sent to her office by other specialists or she simply doesn’t take the time to read them. In my case the report was from a cardiologist sending findings from a heart catheter. Dr. Kaur read the first page of the report stating that there is nothing wrong with my lungs but totally missed the second page reporting a 100% blockage among other things. She further makes statements and proposes medication changes without knowing this critical information. In addition, the Dr treats her patients as if they are ignorant since she hasn’t read the part of the report that patient is referring to. When Dr. Kaur is confronted with this information from the patient, rather than make it right with her patient, she sends a notification of discharge. Dr. Kaur depends on her staff to give her vital information and when the patient advises that her information is possibly incorrect or incomplete, she argues with the patient rather than look up said information herself. In short, the patients of this doctor pays for the mistakes made by dr Kaur’s staff and her own negligence.

Dr. Kaur takes the time to listen and to answer questions without an overload of medical jargon. And when a complex issue requires explanation, it is done in a manner that is easily comprehended by a layman. I told her once that I thought I had a primary physician who had my back, an assessment that is unchanged.

I had battled for years to get my good/bad cholesterol in check. My previous doc had me taking about 20 fish oil per day and my ratios were still too high. Within one month of changing my meds after seeing Dr Kaur, my numbers are perfect. She also helped adjust bp meds to get my bottom number down. She is super.

Wait was excessive. Almost an hour. Not a word was mentioned about the wait time. She did spend an appropriate amount of time with me once she arrived. Dr. Kaur is nice enough. I feel like she listens to her patients better than most other physicians I have gone to. She will treat what she can but recognizes situations that are not her area of expertise and will refer out. That is much appreciated. I feel she has a genuine interest in all of her patient's health and well-being. The medical assistant that took me from the waiting area didn't introduce herself and neither did the lab person who came in to draw my blood. They need to do better in that area. We have not had to use the service but Dr. Kaur offers same day appointments for sick adults. I think that's wonderful!
