Churning patients for Medicare $. I called today for a referral to a pain specialist/neuro doctor here in Florida for ongoing back pain. She refused until I came in to her office for an appointment. FOR WHAT? Plus, I'M IN FLORIDA. This is not the first time she's done this. I have documentation in my file about my back pain. One year, I had an ambulance ride to the ER in Florida, where I passed a KIDNEY STONE. Doctor here told me to follow up with urologist at home. She REFUSED to give a referral for a diagnosed KIDNEY STONE until I came into her office (again..for what? Office visit fees is my guess) Made NO SENSE to see her for a kidney stone when I needed to see urologist. I've also requested prescription refills (via patient portal) and never got them. I'm done. I need to see a specialist for a particular problem and she refuses until she gets her $$ on the front end before she will refer? No thank you. I'll be moving my care.

EVERYTHING was “because you’re obese”. Anxiety, depression, everything. And when I asked for weight loss surgery, the refused and “forgot” to sign the paper and send it in. WOULD NOT recommend.
