Dr. Anwar Khoury, MD

Dr. Khoury delivered 2 of my sons back in 2006 and 2010. He was a blast. He is very knowledgeable and educated and made the whole experience fun. He has a great sense of humor and makes sure you’re taken well care of. I couldn’t have asked for a better doctor! Highly recommend.

My wife and I couldn’t say enough good things about Dr.Khoury and the OB staff at Stormont in JC. Khoury is kind, compassionate, and exceptional at listening to and serving the patient’s needs. Throughout the pregnancy he has been comforting, informative, and always answered questions without judgement. He delivered our baby via c section after my wife had some complications with not dilating and was swift and clean in his surgical practice and ensured my wife was safe and as comfortable as possible the whole time. Khoury and his nurses, Tara the midwife, and the pediatricians in this office are all incredible and we cannot recommend them enough!

Dr. Khoury is amazing. He's very straightforward regarding his bedside manner, which I personally like in a doctor. Over the course of my visits, he did several ultrasounds and my DNC. When it came time to go over my options, he said I could do hormone therapy or a hysterectomy. When I told him I had no plans to have children and wanted the hysterectomy, he did not fight it at all. He even explained that it was the better option overall. He sent the referral to an OBGYN that could do it less invasively. I am very grateful to him, and he helped me get my life back.

Dr khoury is my absolute favorite Dr in the world! He's been my ob through 3 of my 5 kiddos. I have gone through erwin and the woman's health group and both of those places I could give negative reviews. But then I found Dr khoury and just couldn't be happier. Choosing him as my Dr was the best decision I ever made for my family. These negative reviews are from women that don't really understand how motherhood works. He does everything he can to make you happy healthy and comfortable throughout pregnancy and labor but when your Lil one decides to make their appearance his focus is on making sure they are safe and healthy. As a mother u want someone that wants the same things u do for your baby. And above all else he does. He wants them to be safe and healthy just like u do. Please don't listen to these negative reviews. U will be truly missing out if u do. This man is truly amazing! If u want what's absolutely best for your baby above all else then please choose him. U won't regret it

Dr. Khoury was an awful. He did everything he could to talk down to me like I was some dumb teenager (I am 29) & refused to entertain the idea of a tubal for me, instead tried to convince me of an IUD which I refuse to give the idea of because I have PCOS. PCOS & IUD's don't mix but this doctor tried to give me incorrect information about a condition I have been diagnosed with since I was 20! Dr. Khoury would only say that I should get an IUD & convince my hubby about a vasectomy, which is already planned &refused to suggest anything else. He made it seem like I was ridiculous for not wanting anymore children (I have one bio that I had multiple complications bringing into this world & 2 bonus children) Don't even get me started on the Birth control fiasco either as he had outrageous requirements for me to achieve this, even though it was the WHOLE REASON FOR SEEING HIM! I could literally so much more! Overall, he shouldn't be a woman DR if he's not going to listen and be disrespectful

I have been moved to leave this review for Dr. Khoury. I had my baby September 2018 via an unnecessary cesarean. He was not my doctor to begin with but when I went into labor, my midwife was on vacation. Everyone else is correct regarding his awful bedside manner but that’s really not my focus at this point. I was forced to have a cesarean and even to this day when I’m asked why did I have one, I still can’t answer because I truly don’t know. Maybe it was because this doctor didn’t feel like dealing with my case anymore or maybe he wanted to cash in an extra check, I truly don’t know. What I do know is that me and my baby were completely healthy and there were no complications during my labor. I was tired of being in pain and being told I couldn’t have anything to help with my pain. I also know to this day, I think about my birth story and how awful it was just because I chose to use this hospital when I should have went elsewhere.

After having my first child at IACH and then my second with Dr. Khoury at GCH I could NEVER see myself having a baby anywhere else. The staff is beyond helpful and friendly. He is not a sugar coat doctor. He tells it like it is, and doesn't pull any punches. He does what needs to be done to make sure you and your baby are cared for and healthy. He was very kind and caring and helpful. I would recommend him to anyone.

He has a good personality but is VERY unprofessional. It has been a month since he has sent me to do blood work because he thought I may have Thyroids. He also sent me to check if my child has down syndrome. And on my appointment today he still didn't have my results. Instead of investigating it further he just shrugged it off, as if it wasn't important. Also I was involved in a car wreck just a week ago, when I informed him of it he just asked was everything okay & didn't check his self.

Dr. Khoury may not have the most pleasant bedside manner, however, he must be one of the most capable doctors i have ever encountered. He was dilient in finding what was causing my issues and symptons. He encouraged me not to borrow worry until definitive tests revealed more detailed informatin (and he was right). He makes referrals out to specialists if and when he feels he is not the best doctor to address your concerns. Talented, skilled practitioner.
