If you, or a loved one, receives a lung, chest, heart or vascular system cancer diagnosis, I implore you get a second opinion from Dr. Ara Vaporciyan, MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX before starting treatments. I obtained mine after hearing my lung & heart cancers were 'inoperable' & 'not survivable'. My treatment plan: palliative care. 'Dr. V.' discerned surgical removal of my cancers were within his expertise and odds of survival good. The 7-hour surgery was successful and recovery uneventful. I have been released for monitoring every six months; no chemotherapy, no radiation. 'Dr. V.' is trained to treat lung, chest, heart and vascular system diseases.
