Dr. Arafat Hashwani, MD

I recommend Dr. Hashwani to anyone who has a potential neurological problem. I originally went to him to diagnose my unexplained headaches. He listened carefully and explored all possibilities to resolve my issue. He is also very kind and detail oriented. We recently resolved my headache issue. But if I have any other neurological issues, I'll definitely see him again.

Dr. Hashwani is very caring, trying to understand the patient issue an go step by step through the medical history and all labs/ test results, making sure patient understands the full picture. His stuff is great, very helpful and caring, making sure the follow up with you on every step of the journey. After number of labs and test, Dr. Hashwani had to refer me to another great Doctor. Will highly recommend Dr. Hashwani and his clinic.

My general doctor recommended me to UT Physicians at the Memorial Hermann Hospital in Katy. I met or contacted my orthopedic doctor several times because the pain in my left arm was so intense that I could not sleep, even after changing medications. After visiting the Emergency Room, my doctor transferred me to a neurologist within the UT Physicians network. It was a TERRIBLE experience asking the staff to please transfer my medical records and schedule an appointment. The staff responds most of the time like they are doing you a favor, even when you are in pain and asking for help. . . On the other hand, my wife searched online for a neurologist and found Dr. Arafat Hashwani. First, the staff (George and Ethan) go the extra mile to schedule your appointment as soon as needed and they actually call you if they have an opening sooner. Dr. Hashwani takes the time to listen to you, explain his prognosis and make sure you understand the action plan. Everyone works as a team.Great job guys!

Dr. Hashwani and his whole office were FANTASTIC. I got an appointment very quickly, his staff were very communicative and friendly, Dr. Hashwani was so nice and told me what we'd be covering during the appointment. He took the time to go over my past medical history, his thoughts on my condition, and explained every step of the treatment plan. I cannot recommend him enough!

Dr. Hashwani is amazing. I have been seeing him for about a year now. He is compassionate, caring, and extremely professional. I suffered from Migraines for more than 30 years. He took more time than any physician I had ever seen to find out the root cause of my headaches. He explained everything he was going to do all the tests and he listened and answered questions. He then came up with a treatment plan that I have now been on for almost a year and been literally headache free for most of that time, I believe I have had 4 headaches in this time. The best part is the medication that I am taking does not make me zombie like, like every other medication other physicians had put me on. His office staff is responsive and friendly and appointment scheduling has never been a problem. I highly recommend Dr. Hashwani.

First visit so far and I have never been so impressed with a doctor before. Brought my mother in and he took so much time to speak with both of us to understand her condition. I feel he genuinely cares and that is rare.

DR HASHWANI IS AMAZING SPECIAL DETAILED COMPASSIONATE ..... Have been to a neurologist w my wife at methodist who was the complete opposite ...cold nonresponsive.... Dr Hashwani w spend an hour w you at 1st appt going over your life and necessary details to make a clear path for what is needed to help you... he let me choose the best places for my labs...MRI.....memory testing.and gave me my options...etc...he cares so much and gets so involved in analyzing your life and needs that afterwards you feel like you just left your psychologist and best friend...the one who understands you and accepts and appreciates YOU ....i w go on and on but dont like typing on this phone and going to eat my breakfast....enjoy him he is a pleasure...at first prior to the visit i dreaded my expectation of going to a neurologist but after i cant wait to go back again and his office manager and nurse ZORA is amazing caring also she has a great sense of humor and gives you clear specific instruction

Dr Hashwani is a great Dr. I have only seen him for a year but my second cost with him made me feel like he was family. He really goes all out to help you find what the problem is that you are having. He goes out his way to help you find the right Doctor that can help if he can't. His wait time is short but the time he spends with you is worth every minute. Great Doctor

Dr. Hashwani makes sure he receives ones past medical records before he despenses any medication. He is very thorough, efficient, compassionate and professional. I had been to three different neurologist and Dr. Hashwani has been to most thorough, caring and knowledgeable Doctor.

I just called his office to maybe make an appointment! I asked his receptionist a question for Dr. Hashwani. I told her my situation and she took notes and asked me to wait an minute while she consulted with Dr. Hashwani! To my surprise HE picked up the phone and was, very nice to refer me to another doctor that would better sue my needs! That was such a nice gesture for him to do! I thanked him and he said I always try to help in anyway I can! What a nice guy!!!!

They don't make doctors like him anymore. He took a whole hour to listen & address my severe migraines on my initial visit & assured me that if one treatment didn't work, there were numerous others which was very comforting. He is amazing. Calls you himself to check on you & give test results. He is very thorough & kind. I can't recommend him enough. Also, his staff is GREAT & very easy to get a hold of which isn't common with most doctor's offices.

Es un excelente Dr. Yo lo recomiendo ya que por 20 años venia padeciendo de un fuerte dolor de cabeza,y había ido donde otros neurólogo y nada que me daba medicina y esté Dr.me dijo que le diera tres meses y yo iba a ver la diferencia y en menos tiempo yo vi los resultados,después de Dios,él me dio una medicina buena,y luego es tan amable,que lo trata como si fuera un familiar, que Dios bendiga su vida,y le siga dando sabiduría para que sane todo aquel que lo busque.muy buen doctor.

Very thorough, very easy to talk to and handled my questions easily.

I was referred to Dr Hashwani by my Neurosurgeon Dr Albert J Fenoy Jr because of a complex problem with my nervous system. I asked Dr Fenoy to send me to the best person he knew to help find out what is causing all my problems. My first stop was to see Dr Hashwani for an upper and lower bilateral EMG. The procedure lasted over the 2 hours initially planned, no corners were cut, my comfort throughout the testing was a major concern assistant, and doctor. I highly recommend Dr. Hashwani to all.

This Dr. is an awesome Dr. He took his time with me and really cares. I had a stroke in March of 2017. He explain why and how I got the stoke. Put me on medication that I needed . No wait time in the office. The office staff is wonderful. I do recommend this Dr. Thank you Dr. Hashwani, for all the love and care that you gave me during a scary time in my life. Dr. Hashwani is amazing. I have already recommended him to several of my friends and family! Before him, I was seen by several other Neurologists. From the first visit, I could tell he is very knowledgeable in his field. He took the time to listen to me and my complaints, and performed a very detailed exam.
