Bad vibes
Honestly, I don’t even know where to start with Arash Horizon. From the second he walked into the room, something just felt off. He barely made eye contact, spoke to us like we were wasting his time, and gave off this cold, arrogant energy that only got worse as the appointment went on.It was obvious he had no real interest in actually listening or helping — he just brushed off our questions and made it clear he couldn’t be bothered with anything that wasn’t quick and easy. For a field like rheumatology, where patients usually need real compassion and teamwork, his attitude is not just disappointing — it’s downright scary. If you’re looking for a doctor who cares even a little bit about you or your health, I’d seriously look elsewhere. This guy is all bad vibes.

Not fit for patient care
In over 40 years in LA, I’ve never encountered a “physician” as arrogant, dismissive, and lacking in empathy as Arash Horizon. From the start, his tone was condescending and his behavior shockingly unprofessional. At one point during our visit, he raised his voice and snapped, “If you don’t like it, you can go somewhere else.” He showed zero interest in understanding the case or coordinating with other doctors, clearly only interested in quick, easy cases, in other words -- only to cherry-pick uncomplicated, high-yield cases. In rheumatology — a field full of complex, chronic conditions — that attitude isn’t just inappropriate, it’s dangerous. He also has a tendency to mock other doctors and laugh at their practices. His lack of compassion and refusal to provide thoughtful care make him unfit for the profession. A truly dislikable individual who is in the business for all the wrong reasons. Avoid at all costs.

Emergency Physician
Dr. Horizon is one of the best physicians I have ever encountered. He deserves more than 5 stars. In Medical School we often have a physician-professor who soars above the rest and Dr. Horizon is such a physician. He is thorough, caring and extremely intelligent and up to date or current therapies. When my family or friends need a rheumatologist, I refer them to him.

Horrendous doctor, worse office. Treated like a product, push it out and take as much money as you can. Unnecessary expensive codes to take more money from insurance and charge the patient to the MAX possible. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!

Dr horizon is undoubtedly the best dr to solve ANY arthritis issue. My husband would have been wheelchair bound within a two year period if he had not gone to this dr! This is no exaggeration at all . There are 104 or 107 types of arthritis so it is a very complicated issue to determine exactly what is the problem . With the treatment of drug therapy that was proscribed my husband now plays 18 holes of golf PAIN FREE! I know it takes a long time to get an appointment but your quality of life and health is worth it !

Dr. Horizon can be friendly but will abruptly turn on you if you question what he is doing. He tends to be arrogant and drives his own agenda for research. Unfortunately, we got caught up in that and ended up out-of-state seeking second opinions and advised to leave his practice. Over a year later and still trying to play catch-up with my medical conditions and get back on track. Terrible and traumatizing experience.

I began seeing Dr Horizon in 2010. He immediately diagnosed my condition, psoriatic arthritis. Very intelligent & caring & an excellent diagnostician. On occasion he is in a hurry in person or on the phone. Otherwise I have nothing but praise for Dr Horizon

Long Time Patient in Los Angeles CA – Mar 18, 2016

Dr. Horizon runs the most efficient and highly skilled medical practices I have ever encountered. His top notch ability to diagnose and treat, even the most complicated cases, still amazes me. Although it is difficult to get an emergency appointment with Dr. Horizon, his partner, Dr. Shim has proved to be equally as competent and caring.
