Don’t schedule if you need immediate answers
I have been waiting over 6 months to see Dr. Adkins. I had an appointment scheduled in late February, got the requested blood work done 10 days prior, and then 3 days later his office called to reschedule. New appointment was for this morning (end of April), got requested blood work done again 10 days before the appointment. I received a call 1 HOUR before my appointment today that he is out of the office and I need to reschedule - the next available appointment is mid-July. My blood test results are all over the place, I want answers and it obviously isn’t going to come from him. Do yourself a favor and schedule with another doctor, or else be ready to wait nearly a year for just your first new patient appointment.

After years of seeing an endocrinologist that ignored my concerns I finally switched to Dr. Adkins in 2015, I should have switched sooner. Dr. Adkins willingness to consider and address my concerns along with his openness to alternative treatments has made all the difference in my health. With his help I feel the healthiest I have ever felt. Truly the best doctor I have ever worked with.

Takes time, listens, explains, non-judgemental. Really wants to help rather than placing blame and setting rigid expectations. The only problem is there is a long line to get in to see him!
