Dr. Arpit Sothwal, MD

I first went to Sothwal while he was in Cedar Falls Ia. He found my heart problem. Other doctors and nurse practicianers said i was fine. After he moves, again doctors at Mercy in Waterloo said i was just fine and no more medsfor me. I went back to Southwal had the tests again and yes i have heart problems. He gave the perscription for 1 year to make sure i get them. I went thru a help for meds, and they said i needed a new perscrition. The nurse said she knows the doc did it for a year, but oh well come see a nurse practioner for a checkup and new perscription. I know my doc is doing more training out of state but, they don't beleive him and I get to see another nurse???? Now where do i go for a good doctor.?????

Dr. Sothwal was my father's cardiologist at a critical point in his hospitalization at St. Luke's Unity Point, Cedar Rapids. Dr. Sothwal was excellent in his care and treatment of my father, and he was also compassionate and helpful to our family as he talked with us about my father's options. He was the person we relied upon in that period and we are grateful.

I had been to Dr. Sothwal’s office in the Mercy One hospital in Cedar Falls about three times. Several months later, he performed a heart test via the esophagus under light anesthesia. I find him to be very kind and caring. I trust him to be truthful and to take excellent care of me.
