Rude Staff
I felt very uncomfortable and offended by a staff member. He was short and had black hair and said he was a student. His name started with an A but I don’t remember it. He made inappropriate, disrespectful comments about Dr. Khanaani and his clinic. He acted like he owned the place. I heard him making vile “locker room talk”. It was inappropriate, awkward, and unprofessional. I have encountered many unpleasant people, but this one was so arrogant and rude that I had to write a review. As a patient I don’t just consider the doctor but also the environment and culture. I have never met a more arrogant, rude young man than the person I encountered. I hope the clinic takes steps to address this. Otherwise I have no desire to stay a patient and advise others to do the same. Who you hire is partly a reflection of you.

Highly knowledgeable retinologist
I’ve gone thru 3 detached retina surgeries with Dr Khanani. The first time, he dropped everything - including a family trip to hurriedly do my surgery. Subsequently I had 2 more detachments and he was right there for me. I trust him fully to keep me seeing and his care and concern are second to none!

Dr. Khanani and his staff are great. They always allow me to feel like family, not just a patient. I started seeing Dr. Khanani when I lost my vision (a very terrifying time). He and his staff made me feel in good safe . That kind od security keeps me going to my appointments and keep a positive outlook. I feel that is what has helped me to regain a good portion of my sight. There aren't enough words to express my appreciation.

Dr. Khan ani is a fine doctor but his customer service skills are lacking. His primary patient is elderly and his staff triple books staking patients into his waiting room like sardines. My mother is a regular patient and has to wait 3-4 hours each time for a procedure that takes 30 minutes. I have complained and seen no changes. I wonder if it would be the same service if the patients were millennials.

Five stars. Dr. Khanani and his staff are professional, hard-working, attentive and friendly. He has performed two vitrectomy and macular hole/pucker surgeries on me and the results are the best vision I have had in years. He came highly recommended and with good reason. I have received nothing less than the best of care, and that is saying something given my many experiences with medical professionals. Their office is busy because Dr. Khanani is in demand - which should tell you what you need to know.

They are primarily concerned with getting new patients and surgeries. More $$ there. Once he's done with the surgery, you are relegated to the bottom of the heap. You will wait hours (I was there about 5 hours waiting for follow up) and told how important he is saving people's eyesight if you complain. The waiting room is stacked with patients who are waiting hours for their turn. Money making machine. Rude and overworked staff at the front counter. No smiles.

I just had my repair surgery from the mess this inept person did. After he did the "virtrectomy" surgery I had a horrible time. I went to 3 eye doctors because I refused to go back to him. They found he made a nick in my retina. However, it being Reno, none of them wanted to fix his mess. I moved to Tucson and saw a few surgeons before I made my decision of who I would let touch me. My surgeon did surgery yesterday and I can see for the first time in 3 years! Be very careful!

Don't go to any other retina doctor. Dr. Khanani is just great, he is a total professional and knows what he is doing. Unlike other retina specialists in Reno and Carson, his staff is polite , and have their act together. I had a fully detached retina that was two weeks old and after examination he put me right into surgery and saved my sight. I spoke to several other of his patients while waiting and they all say the same thing. JRH.

Dr Khanani has been very responsive to my medical needs and has been there after hours for emergency treatment, always done skillfully. This is a very busy office, run efficiently. I much prefer their efficiency to fawning excuses.

After serious Retina health issues that jeopardized my continued vision in both eyes, words cannot begin to express my sincere gratitude towards Dr. Arshad Khanani for his professionalism, knowledge, trust and sincere caring exhibited during my seventeen month fight to retain my vision. Had it not been for Dr Khanani’s efforts and skilled surgical hands, I am confident that I would have not been able to write this review. I have never met an individual that exhibits a genuine patient concern.

Dr. Khanani is highly professional, very efficient at retinal surgeries, pays attention to detail while dealing with patients, very nice and friendly, cares deeply for all his patients, a good person and is a full package. He is a doctor you can trust, is dedicated to his work and who is willing to go above and beyond his call of duty to help you. God does not make people like Dr. Khanani anymore. I have never been through such a difficult experience. I had surgery in November, Khanani couldn't get the stitches removed from my eye. A knot is now embedded in my eye. He's real smooth with his older patients and they love the attention. But if something goes wrong he won't take the time to fix the problem. Very disappointed and will need surgery to get the problem fixed. I wish I had never gone to SEA. The exam rooms are dirty and back office staff miserable and rude.
