Dr. Arshed Malik, MD

Great communication--explained procedure; discussed risks. Assured me that he felt I was a strong candidate-Had procedure, Great experience. No discomfort post-surgery. Definitely a 5-star MD. Front desk Office staff need help with patient service skills--don't let your primary contact there discourage you.

He is a terrific no nonsense professional. He clearly knows his stuff and is extremely thorough. He is very easy to talk to but you have to ask questions and throughly understand that visiting a doctor is a team effort with you and the doctor. He genuinely cares about his patients and I would give him 6 stars if I could. He is extremely thorough with a very polite and gentlemanly bedside manner. I can’t say that about every doctor I have ever visited. His staff is adequate but realize they are not the best paid caring pros by East Jefferson Hospital. You have to be your own advocate with most of them. A few are just waiting for lunch and 5 pm. Dr. Malek is worth waiting for if you have a serious issue or are worried about something. Great guy!!

Nothing against Dr. Malik, but the wait time is way too long. Pointless to have appointments when you wait 1.5 hours to see a doctor. Office is way too unorganized. I remembered my first visit as a new patient, office should have known I was a new patient and should have given me paperwork to fill out the patient form. I did not receive the new patient form until after 1 hour, then another 45 mins until they called me in to the patient's room. I cannot recommend anyone to him.
