One of the worst experiences involving my medical debacle. Despite biopsy cofirmed, fairly significant lung pathology I was profiled as a malingering anorexic with an alleged long standing mh hx which was unsupported other than in the setting of a number of contributory factors in the setting of severe COPD exacerbation and a massive pulmonary embolism which I was never informed of, and that is just the beginning. It is unconscionable and indefensible to let heuristics and cognitive biases interfere with one's clinical acumen especially when I informed her and all parties involved that I had pulmonary sarcoidosis and CREST Syndrome, two conditions with serious complications when ignored and dismissed. I was called delusional and psychotic; the same sad cut, copied ,and pasted statement in my discharge summary in 2015, no different from that written in 2011. Disgusting and outrageous when I had significant autoimmune phenomena and underlying pathology requiring further workup.
