Dr Balin is the most careful and focused doctor I have ever seen. He misses nothing. Patients may have to wait a bit because he is careful and conscientious with each patient regardless of how much time he needs to spend. Bring a book or watch a DVD in his waiting room. It’s is worth the wait. He is the best

In early October 2020, I had my first and last appointment with Dr. Balin – I arrived on time for my appointment. I left without seeing him after having waited for him for three hours without any excuse or explanation for the delay from him or his staff. If you think this is an acceptable way of treating patients, then Dr. Balin may be a good choice for you. I decided to look for better luck elsewhere.

I have been seeing Dr. Balin for more than seven years. It was suggested to me that I look for a dermatologist that used the Mohs procedure for skin cancer after I was diagnosed with Basel cell carcinoma near my left eye. Mohs surgeons are few and far between and I travel more than an hour for appointments but based on the care and expertise I receive, I accept the inconvenience of the distance and the often long waiting times in the office. Dr. Balin's office staff is always welcoming and accommodating and his professional staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and willing to answer any questions I may have. I cannot say enough about Dr. Balin's reconstructive expertise, several of my skin cancer sites have been on my face and the repair of those locations is virtually invisible. While waiting at times seems long, the facilities are excellent and the operating rooms are top notch. Followup instructions are thorough. I always go with computer and a book to pass the time.

Dr Balin is always willing to spend as much time as possible for exam and procedure...I feel he never skimps on any part of care. I also have experienced his surgical technique which is excellent-my sister had a Mohs procedure elsewhere and she had a horrible scar and mine healed without any scar-excellent! I would give 10 stars if it was possible. He is VERY thorough.

I find Dr. Balin to be very sympathetic and he listens. His explanations are easy to understand. I'm hard of hearing and he always willing to repeat. The procedures have always been successful and I have healed very well. When it was discovered that I had allergies to certain adhesive tape he and the staff worked hard to find something that I was not allergic to. I feel comfortable when he wants to something more.

I have been seeing Dr. Balin since 1990 for many skin cancer lesions. I am well pleased with the care I have received. Without question, Dr, Balin and his staff are patient oriented. I have never felt like I was another patient, but rather like they are all an important part of my healthcare team.
