Dr. Arthur Polussa, MD

From the complete lack of bedside manner to the condescending and unprofessional communication—combined with a misdiagnosis and an overall absence of polish—I am genuinely baffled this individual is practicing medicine. I strongly advise avoiding this doctor.

I wanted to take the time to give 5 star review! I highly recommend Dr Polussa! I am a home care therapist and all my patients are homebound! Dr Polussa makes house calls and this is amazing!!! He leaves his direct number and is always available! Very prompt, thorough and an amazing advocate for his patients medical care! 100% recommend!

So my pharmacy has called the doctor multiple times, he never replied. I called and he said he needed to see me. I said OK. He said a week from tomorrow. I said I'll be out of medication long before that. He said go to urgent care. I'm going to find another doctor.

Horrible doctor. Avoid at any cost

We were wary after reading the negative reviews about Dr Polussa, but we chose him as my dad's PCP because he did home visits and my dad in his infirm state was very hard to take to doctor offices. Apart from his coming to our parents' apartment which was very convenient and helpful, he was also highly accessible on his cell phone (how many US doctors actually give you their cell No.?) and responsive to our calls for help. For non emergencies he would visit in 2-3 days (I think so he could combine appointments and see his other patients in the same senior living complex - perfectly reasonable thing to do) but was willing to come the same day if it was an emergency, as happened once. He may not be the most polished in bedside manner, and I can't say if he's up with the latest medical advances, but he served our purpose very well. He took the initiative to look through all of dad's many medicines currently prescribed for him by various doctors over time, and then drastically pared them
