I'm grateful for the care Dr. Smith gave me in 2015. More than grateful, he saved my life! My left coronary artery was completely blocked, I believe, and he put two stents in my heart. I was scared, of course, but I'm still here thanks to him!

Dr. Smith became my Cardiologist in 1998 when I had a heart attack resulting in placement of my first Stent. Twenty-two years later, I had been experiencing some pain and heaviness in my chest and Dr Smith suggested an Angiogram might be a good step to take and I agreed wholeheartedly. There was blockage in my main right artery which required two additional stents in the same artery as the original Stent. A few days later, I was experiencing some heaviness in my chest. Out of an abundance of caution,I was instructed to come in. Dr. Smith and his staff were very caring and he assured me my stents were okay which I was very thankful to hear! I believe Dr. Smith saved my life twice! Dr. Smith and his staff have always been professional and caring throughout the years since. I appreciated them and very highly recommend them!

Fabulous Physician. LISTENS. Gave me the TIME I needed to explain everything that was going on as opposed to prescribing a pill and rushing me out the door (like most). Excellent bedside manners, well spoken, and super intelligent!

Dr. Smith has been my cardiologist for 20 years plus now. I can only imagine where I would be today were it not for him. He has treated me thru the years for various heart ailments. The most recent being a small heart attack several months ago & I'm still around. I would highly recommend Dr. Smith to any one. I consider him the best!

Dr. Smith has performed two surgical procedures on me, both stent placements. The first procedure was extremely difficult, taking more than 4 hours, and in discussing it with me later I noted Dr. Smith rewarded himself with a diet Coke. Needless to say, I have the utmost confidence in his skill and knowledge and experience.

I was very fortunate to be placed with Dr. Smith at Austin Heart after many transitions. Dr. Smith is approachable. He brings a scribe to his visits with patients so his full attention can be focused on the patient instead of the computer. He is very knowledgeable and responds with compassionate honesty even when questions are difficult. Dr. Smith has always been very polite and patient. I know that my care and health are important to him. I highly recommend him as an excellent health provider.
