Great service
I had cataracts removed in both eyes. The staff was very friendly and Dr Betincourt was amazing. I am very happy at how it turned out.

CONSUMER BEWARE! The doctors are good, but if you like your money, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. I was charged for a billing error ON THEIR PART and tried to resolve it amicably, even taking my complaint to their Business Manager and Chief Operating Officer. Both promised to look into the matter, then completely ignored my request to follow up. I waited to write this review in the hopes they would respond to the Better Business Bureau, which they have also ignored. Two of my family members had their Lasik done there and we were given good medical care from the doctor and nursing staff. Too bad their business practices have ruined it for my family and for those who heed this warning.

I have recommended Dr. Betancourt to friends and family and have been a patient of his for many years. His manner is always friendly, and he takes plenty of time to explain any problems. The office runs smoothly and looks clean and antiseptic, especially since Covid-19 raised its ugly head. I have never had any problems with his manner or his expertise which makes me wonder about the recommendation written by the person who gave him a 1 and then mention "Dr. Ahmed." I think the 1 is a major disservice to Dr. Betancourt especially since the remarks seem directed at another doctor.

I was concerned about costs. Specificaly the 45 dollar copayment to remove a temporary contact that was placed in my eye the day before. I informed office personnel that I believed the contact had come out already that morning in the shower. After expressing my concerns, and requesting to speak briefly to the Dr. to see if an office visit or follow up treatment was still necessary, I was told nicely to pay or leave. They very politely provided a security escort. This was staff, not Dr. Ahmed.
