You will not find a more knowledgeable Dr. incredibly compassionate, welcoming, nurturing and tops in the medical game. Always open to suggestion. Your health is her main concern. Her staff is helpful, efficient and always happy to see you. It's not all about the $$$ at Dr. Chakrala's office. 5 stars. I've been a loyal patient and friend for over 10yrs!

Not happy with care provided.
The staff asks if you want cosmetic procedures when you come in for medical issues. Patients not encouraged to be proactive in their own care. Dr Chakrala does not seem to like questions about recommended treatment. Asked to put in a review at first visit. Prescriptions were not filled for chronic illness after leaving several messages.

Warning: You'll see a lot of positive reviews here, but that's because they push you to leave a review during your very first visit. After that, nobody bothers to go back and update their review, even if they have terrible experiences later on. There are plenty of excellent doctors in the Plainsboro area—avoid these money-hungry people. Here's my experience after 4 years: Random bills showing up months later: I started receiving bills 6-7 months after my visits (amounts due after copay). I had no idea what these charges were for, but I still paid them. The lack of transparency is ridiculous. Overcharging for USCIS bloodwork: In 2022, I needed bloodwork done for the USCIS process. I called them to ask about the cost, and the front desk told me it would be $1,000 per person—$500 by card and $500 in cash. That sounded incredibly shady and suspicious, so I went to another doctor who got the entire bloodwork done for less than $400 per person. Charging for signing forms: We go there for annual physical exams every year. This year, my wife needed a physical form signed by the doctor for the school district. When she called them two months after her physical, the front desk demanded she book another appointment and pay the charges (copay/deductible) just to get the form signed. I’ve never seen this kind of policy anywhere else. Our pediatrician signs forms for our kid even 2-3 months after the physical exam without making us jump through hoops. Unnecessary calls from their office: They constantly call you to ask if you're feeling okay or if you're sick. If I were sick, I’d call and book an appointment myself. What’s the point of this annoying marketing tactic? It’s intrusive and unnecessary. In conclusion, avoid this practice. There are far better doctors in the area who actually care about patients and don’t nickel-and-dime you for everything. Save yourself the frustration and choose a more ethical healthcare provider. My first/old review - Visited twice in last week of December for health checkup and other appointment and my experience was awesome, front desk and all staff are helpful, you really don’t have to worry about process because the staff will be there to help out with all questions and concerns related to process. Dr Aruna Chakrala is experienced doctor and she will always explain everything in detail. I definitely recommend Dr Chakrala as primary care physician.

Extremely Disappointed with Care and Service
Telehealth
I visited Dr. Aruna Chakrala at Princeton Medical Group for Tedalma treatment on September 18, 2023, and I regret my decision. My experience was far from what I expected, and I feel compelled to share my concerns. From the beginning, I felt misled regarding the treatment process. Dr. Chakrala provided inconsistent information and failed to communicate important details. The staff seemed untrained and struggled with the equipment, which made me uncomfortable during the treatment.Additionally, I encountered significant issues with billing. I received harassing communications about additional fees, which left me feeling stressed and confused. The office environment was unprofessional and unhygienic, further adding to my discomfort.I expected a higher standard of care based on the reputation of Princeton Medical Group, but my experience was disappointing. I urge potential patients to consider this before seeking treatment here.

My experience with Plainsboro-Princeton Medical Associates has been nothing short of horrific. I called in December for a sick visit and was told that Dr. Buddala would not be available until MARCH. The receptionist suggested I go to the ER and pay out-of-pocket costs to be treated for a SINUS INFECTION. I ended up going to an urgent care center, eating the costs of the visit since they were not in-network, but was instructed to follow up with my PCP if I did not fully improve. I called Dr. Buddala's office again today and was told that she didn't have any available appointments until APRIL. THIS IS LITERALLY 5 MONTHS FROM THE TIME OF MY INITIAL CALL!!! I did not choose this doctor but unfortunately, this is who I am stuck with due to her being in-network with my insurance. This practice needs to be reported to the State Board of Medical Examiners for failure to provide timely, appropriate and adequate patient care.

Horrible experience
- In my experience, doctor had bad bedside manner and the appointment time was short and felt rushed. - The group pushes for reviews at your first few appointments- The billing department has been a NIGHTMARE to deal with!!! - Unusually higher fees than other providers I’ve been too

Super Doctor , very good at diagnosis .
I visited her clinic recently and had to get urgent treatment .She and her staff (Nafisa and others) gave me the treatment and saved me long waits and lots of money at ER. I was let out only after all vitals were normal.

Best Dr. ever!
Best Dr. ever! I have been going to Dr. Chakrala for years now, and I always feel like I am talking to a family-member who genuinely cares about my well-being and emotions! She asks the right questions, gives enough time to hear concerns, and provides the proper treatment! I was recently diagnosed with renal cancer, and I thank Dr. Chakrala for catching it early and saving my life. When she discovered abnormality in my lab results during annual physical exam, she pushed me to get the nephrologist appt and the ultrasound test done ASAP. She not only referred me to a Nephrologist but also contacted the nephrologist to get the earliest appointment. She even connected with the Urologist to ensure that I got the best treatment. I have not seen or heard of any other doctor who can go to this extent to care for their patients. I am incredibly grateful to her. Her team/staff (especially Nafeesa & Jayshree) is wonderful and attentive as well. Very friendly and caring! Highly recommend!!

I had an appointment at Dr. Aruna Chakrala's Monroe, NJ office for 9 a.m. on Sunday, 9/27/20 (which the doctor's office reconfirmed on Friday via voicemail as 9:15 a.m. at the Monroe office). However, after about 40 minutes waiting I eventually learned that they decided at last minute to work from their Plainsboro NJ office that day instead--but no one from their office bothered to alert me of this and they initially tried to make it seem as if I had the wrong information (but because I have their vm proof that's when they started to accept responsibility). In any case, if they can be this incompetent with lack of proper/timely communication for last minute schedule changes (and initially trying to pin the error on me), I cringe to think what else they can err with going forward, that could possibly be detrimental to me. I will not be patronizing the doctor, because of her office's unprofessionalism, inconsideration and inefficiency.
