Wonderful
My first visit was terrific and feel confident now that I’ve finally found an excellent orthopedist after several others in Rockland were not thorough and actually downright dismissive of me - but no looking back and I’m so grateful for the referral from a friend to Dr Bhadra who was attentive and comprehensive in his care.

I would recommend The Hospital for Special Surgery
Not Happy. I had my right knee done at the Hospital for special Surgery, about 16 years ago. It's fine. Didn't want to deal with getting into Manhattan so I had my left knee done about five years ago by Dr Bhadra. My left knee is sturdy but has never not been swollen since the operation. My left leg is my old age nemesis.

Staff is horrible
The staff NEVER answers the phone. And they never return calls if you leave a message. Sounds like Bhadra doesn’t want patients contacting him. Three close friends of mine need hip replacements; highly recommended Bhadra. They all gave up after waiting 2 months for a return phone call - and they all left more than one message. Sad because he’s an excellent surgeon. Staff - nothing good about them.

Excellent Surgeon
Doctor Bhadra did my total knee replacement on my right knee in 2015. He did such a great job that when my left knee needed a replacement in 2022, I returned to him. I am very grateful to him for his skills and getting me back to my life!

Happy with results
Dr. Bhadra and his entire staff could not have made my knee replacements any easier. In Aug. I had my left knee done and in Feb. I had my right knee done. I am now pain free. I highly recommend Dr. Bhadra and the entire northeast practice.

Bhadra is great
Let’s hope you have 3 hours to wait on hold to get to speak to someone. The “excuse” is COVID staff shortages but the phone response has been the same since 2018. My surgery was great - that’s about all the positive comments I can provide.

Great Doctor
I had a problem for years with my right knee. I tried injections they only worked for a short time then I was introduced to Dr. Bhadra. I met with him and he did total knee replacement and then after two months I’m now driving and walking like new!! I would definitely recommend him.

Just a wonderful Surgeon, Doctor and person. Had 2 Knee replacements (one in Nov 2020 and one in Mar 2021) and I am totally a new person. Still work to do at PT (but that's on me!), but I was able to walk my daughter down the aisle in June, and do the father/daughter dance with 0 pain. His entire staff (particularly his PA Daniel) are just great, and his team at Good Sam hospital were awesome. If you are not ready for surgery/replacement, he offers other alternatives and does not force you to do surgery.

Just returned from a visit to Dr. Bhadra and it was perhaps the worst experience I ever had with a doctor. About fifty minutes after our appointment time the doctor came in and spoke with us to ask what the problem was. He then sent us to another room for x-rays. The x-ray technician took us immediately and it only took about five minutes for the x-rays. We were sent back to the original room where we were told the doctor would be in to see us shortly. At that point we had been in the office about an hour and a half. I saw him walk past our door and asked him "where are you going now"? He came back and told my wife and me to leave and walked out. I asked the secretary at the desk where he was and he wasn't going to see us anymore and we should leave. I told her to find him and tell him we wouldn't leave until he gave us the results of the x-rays. Reluctantly, he came back and told us what he saw. STAY FAR AWAY from him. How dare he refuse to give us results because we were complaining

I could hardly walk due to severe OsteoArthritis. My primary M.D referred me to Dr. Arup Bhadra who performed total hips replacement. Post surgery recovery went so well that people who know me prior surgery couldn’t believe how well and so quickly I was on my feet walking. I strongly recommend Dr. Bhadra for any Orthopedic surgery.

I had a left hip replacement in August 2020 which I wish I had done sooner. Dr. Bhadra is an excellent physician as well as surgeon. I was extremely fearful and hesitant of proceeding with surgery. He answered all my questions and put my fears to rest. He has wonderful bedside manners. I am extremely greatful to Dr. Bhadra as I am now pain free and back to work within a month. I would highly recommend Dr. Bhadra to anyone needing a kind, courteous, patient and caring physician.

In June 2020 Dr Bhadra performed a TKR at a point when I could hardly walk due to severe osteoarthritis. The procedure went extremely well. He always took time to explain the procedure before and after surgery. Dr Bhadra is an excellent doctor. Besides being smart, he is also kind, and explains things so that you understand them. I also cannot say enough about the excellent care provided by his staff. Thank you Dr. Bhadra.

I was referred to Dr. Bhadra by two people who had very successful knee replacements performed by him. Mine took place on 9/16/19 and was equally successful. He was reassuring, patient and confident throughout the process. He took time to be sure I understood the procedure, the recovery and the expected outcome. Recovery was fast and pain well managed.

In July 2019 Dr. Bhadra performed a total left hip replacement at a point when I could hardly walk due to severe osteo arthritis. The procedure went extremely well. After a two night stay in the hospital I began recovery at home with physical therapy. I was driving after two weeks and back at work after three weeks at home. During this time I ha no pain and took no pain medication. I continued wit Physical therapy and am leading a completely active and normal life. I am very thankful to Dr. Bhadra who heads the joint replacement program at Good Samaritan Hospital. And to the Hospital staff for a very positive experience. I highly recommend Dr. Bhadra.
