Unhelpful
I had been a patient of Dr Kirmani for several years before I found a new psychiatrist this year. After years of decline and no real improvement, but more prescriptions than ever, I realized I was overmedicated and my actual needs were being ignored. Now that I have a doctor that really HEARS me, I realize how little help I received by the very lucrative med checkups. Do not recommend. There's better—it's worth the extra time searching for the ideal doctor.

Dr. Kirmani is the rare therapist that is patient, truly non-judgmental, and helps you figure out why you're doing things (vs. telling you what to do). I was in a really toxic relationship and if it was as easy as someone saying "that's bad for you, get out of it," I would have done it already. Dr. Kirmani. over time, helped me learn why i do it, what my childhood narrative had to do with it, what that narrative was, how to identify emotions, and how to say "I'm not proud of this, but i'm doing it," so we could talk about it - and eventually I could overcome it. If you are lucky enough to work with Dr. Kirmani, keep it up because the work will forever change your life for the better. He's really, really good at his job. FWIW, any negative reviews are surprising and I believe come with the territory of being a psychologist. These are people who likely went to one session only and were not ready for gentle therapy in their lives. There's so much to gain from working with him.

I bounced around a lot of psychiatrists before finding a good fit, but Dr. Kirmani was by far the worst. Overall bad human being.

Dr. Kirmani helped me deal with my PTSD, depression, and anxiety. I have been to 5 other doctors, and none of them compare to him. I have never had a doctor listen to my medical concerns like he did nor had a doctor empower me to deal with my issues like he did. I cannot say enough good things about his skills as a therapist and a doctor. After your first session, Dr. Kirmani will help you feel as though you have taken a few steps toward healing and regaining control.

For a psychiatrist, a surprising lack of self-awareness. Make sure he doesn't dislike you because he's petty beyond belief. Not sure I would return and most certainly would not recommend to anyone that I know feeling mentally or emotionally vulnerable.

Doesn't seem to give a rat's behind about well being of patients. For 300 bucks an hour, you're better off wasting your money in a casino than seeing this hack.
